Because I got way too excited with the jersey, I forgot to mention a very important part. As you can see on the inside of the collar, right above the Adidas logo and size info, there is a star with what looks like lightning bolts coming out from the sides. I thought that was an incredible touch, because that star/bolt combo comes from the Buffalo city flag, and I don't think they've ever paid homage to the city flag before. Small detail, but a very nice touch nonetheless.

That jersey looks awesome, I love the Royal blue! And the fur on the logo is a nice detail. I honestly don’t know which I prefer between this and the anniversary jersey, they’re both homeruns.

I’m a bit ticked off at some of the fan base that want to already abandon these jerseys to go back to the goat head. The new retro jerseys in my eyes have always been perfect and I never want to see them change it. I’d be okay with a goat head 3rd jersey but never again do I want to see them come back as regular uniforms.

I prefer the Royal Blue. I've been scouring the internet for a Sabres 40th cause it was the first jersey I tried on in the NHL Store in 2013.

The problem I have with it, apart from fantastic furry Buffalo crest as is just like on 50-th aniversary one, is that blue is more of a purple tone than actual nice blue . It should be more like that blue on your buffalo bills wooden frame hanging on the wall in the background there. Now that is proper blue, not purple like on this new sweater. Dunno, I think they made it purple not blue, and I have quite a good monitor with perfect colors, so it ain't it giving false color tone, but the actual sweater is purplish, and that is a downer for me…

So happy they went back to their original colors. The hair added to the buffalo is amazing, I plan on getting the white jersey. When i first got into hockey in 1990 i became a Penguins fan having moved from Arizona, but the Sabres jersey was the first jersey i fell in love with. The colors and the logo are just so good.
The texture on that front crest is amazing! Funny how it’s bigger than your whole torso.
I also like how they have made the entire collar one color.

I would love to see the Sabres come out with a new black and red goat head jersey. I’m a Wings fan but I sort of like the Sabres as well. And I think a new goat head jersey would be awesome to see.
