Absolute beast
Total stiff.
I, like a lot of other people, was not a fan of taking Boucher at the #10 spot. However, his game has taken a step forward as of late.
What will determine whether this was a bust of a pick or a steal will depend on:
1. if he can put some more muscle on (we will be 20 in 2023 and some added muscle will give him a little extra weight and make him even more effective in the corners and in the cycle game)
2. What kind of coaching and h the quality of coaching he gets over the next couple years.
3. If he can improve his edge work, even if it’s just a little.
With the top 2 Center positions set for the future (Norris&Stützle), and the 3rd line Center spot appearing to be set (Pinto), Boucher could be the perfect power forward on the wing for the 3rd line. Having a reliable 2 way Center on his line will actually benefit him.
If he reaches his true potential, he could move up the 2nd line if injuries occur.
A 3rd line of Motte/Joseph, Pinto, Boucher would definitely be a touch matchup for a lot of teams.
A lot of people will eat their words on this kid, he plays heavy
