It’s all exciting stuff, but I don’t get the hype… there was a rumor that buffalo has inquired about Robertson. Which team hasn’t… he’s an unsigned 40 goal scoring 23 year old.
Dallas would be dumb to trade him and Buffalo would also be dumb to give up the assets necessary for this deal.
We literally don’t have the picks required to offer sheet him for under 10~mil per year and over that would be sending 4 first round picks away which is pretty damn expensive.
I think a trade is the only feasible way to aquire him.
Think logically for a second why would any team give up one of the best young players in the world? Barring some massive long term scandal comes out like us with Eichel, there’s flat out no way they don’t make it work to retain him without a kings ransom coming their way.
