Hi Patrick. I agree with you the Edmonton oilers need to get off to a better start in game 3 back in Edmonton. And hopefully there will be better referees in game 3 that won't make any bad calls that take away any Edmonton oilers goals like they did in game 2. What do you think about that Patrick. Andy.
Even with the help of the refs the flames can't win 😂😂😂 the thing about this Oilers team is that they've been through this in the reg season making them ready for the playoffs.
I was proud of the Oil last night…..Very few passengers if any. Smith came up clutch when they needed him, Connor was Connor…God bless him and most importantly…..Tkachuk was almost invisible.
They are great athletes and fun to watch that's for sure but I heard all pro sports including NHL are fixed to some degree. Not that all games are necessarily fixed but it's alleged that many games are manipulated or managed in order to increase attendance, sales, tv viewership and online betting / gambling. And then tv revenue and probably some online gambling revenue is shared equally amongst the teams. Do you think there is any truth to those allegations?
Effectively the Oilers have Home Ice advantage. Again the Oilers don't start on time BUT they figure it out. Great Rundown like always. For a guy with only one leg to speak of Leon can SKATE. Take care all.
Nice win for the boys!! JPs ice time has been cut significantly, makes me wonder if he’ll be an Oiler next season, he needs to start using his size to his advantage and start hitting more.
On the first recalled goal, the puck was clearly in the net BEFORE the whistle. Markstrom then scoops it out with his stick and then the whistle blew and it's then pushed in by the Calgary D-man or Kane's stick. https://youtu.be/cNn-Yx7zkYI?t=1540 Freeze frame at 25:51 puck is by the "C" of Markstrom's stick, then hit play and you THEN hear the whistle.
Poor start but great comeback win. The shames now realize they are in a series. Oil took away home advantage and hopefully use it wisely and not repeat the poor starts against the kings. I also noticed JP played a lot better which is a good sign. Hyman is playing great. Loving his effort. Any doubter about McD being the best on the planet are not watching the Oilers play. Refs as usual were terrible but that is to be expected. Keep the vids rolling.
Well maybe I was a little harsh on Bouch and Keith. Just don't play them as much. I really hope Bouchard can get physical and find his defensive game. McD is being McD, and we kicked Calgary's butt's to take game 2! Nice playoff beard btw
I hope the Oilers can rebuild their Home Advantage streak like they had at the end of the reg season. They had a much better game last night in large part to their D including Smith. Calgary did turn a lot of pucks over which gave us numerous chances. Oilers did figure how to get past their blue line and keep it in for longer.
It'd take a very one-eyed Oiler fan to argue that Draisaitl's goal should have been given. McDavid ran Markström, who was out of position for only that reason. There is absolutely no way one could give that goal.
How is no one talking about the deliberate head contact on Kulak by Tkuchuk. I'm appalled that this is being ignored by the commentators and the league. I had hoped you would mention it. It was an appalling high hit in which he jumped above the players head therefore knowing contact if made would have been primarily the head.
The way I saw it was Markstrom stuck his arms out trying to trip up McDavid. Markstrom's arms were clearly extended with the puck no where in sight at that moment. Markstrom and the Calgary Flickers got away with a massive call back. But didn't matter in the end anyway. The Calgary Flickers got smothered by another Oil slick. The Slickers against the Flickers..lol
The huge difference between Edmonton and Calgary in Game 2 was Edmonton made the adjustment. Edmonton figured Calgary out. Goals against Edmonton went from 9 to 3. Against Calgary 6 to 5 (arguably 6 to 7) Calgary has not figure Edmonton out. Woodcroft, is Mr. Smarty Pants!! He completely out coached Sutter. And Sutter knows it. Look out Sutter you've got Jay Wincroft in your blind spot.
Duncan Keith had an uncharacteristic goal and two assists besides that he was as important as anyone on the team for this win! Collectively the team as a whole played well and my player of the game was a duo of McDavid and Duncan Keith with an honorable mention for Leon. I really believe they should replace Nurse with Bromberg! Nurse is not playing to his capabilities with his hip or groin injury ? Really don’t know what it is except that it’s lower body for sure.
I think the refs are doing a pretty good job but something should be done regarding the puck remaining in motion inside the goal crease and not when the refs lose sight of the puck. Relying on video replay is more of a n objective approach instead of the refs subjective choice of losing sight. It seems that the refs have more control than video and this is a flaw that can alter a game!
McDavid with 20 points in just 9 games… the record for the fastest 20 points in the playoffs is 8 games. Last player to reach 20 points in 9 playoff games was Lemieux back in 1992.

This series has been incredible so far! Just as we expected! Glad we won this time! Hoping for similar results in Game 3! Go Oilers Go! 😊👍💙🧡
Confidence completely restored
Let's Go Oilers !!!
McDavid and Yamamoto each with 4 hits leads all Oilers in hits in game 2. When's everybody else gonna get involved.
I'm talking to you Zach kassian !

Kassian needs to be traded. If they can’t trade him, buy out his contract. 3.2M for a 4th line plug.

McDavid is going to be the difference, there is simply no answer for him.

11 more wins boys! This Oilers team is resilient and can go goal for goal against the Flames! Go Oilers Go!!!
Labamba baby
Markstrom is trash against us, so take advantage of that. He’s cared of Mcdavid 🤡
Kassian barely played and Ryan was struggling. I wonder if Holloway and malone get a look
Do you think woodcroft changes his bottom six up for game 3.

Congrats on tied series!

I'm still going with oilers in 6 if they truly want to win they are more than capable
Calgary's new slogan. "We don't just go down. We go down in flames".

McDavid is a BEAST!!!!
