As a Kraken fan it was fun to see our prospects battle back against a more veteran filled roster. We’re building the right culture and developing our youngsters. That’s encouraging!
All I care about is that we get to see what the Canucks have. Right now that blue line is a bit scary. I’m expecting lists of odd man rushes against and Demko having to stand on his head and the offense having to outscore some of their problems. The forward group is pretty deep when healthy, but with Boeser and Mikheyev appearing brittle early on, that could be tested as well. Maybe they should have spent that Mikheyev money on a top 4 D man. But again, it’s preseason. Tough to read too much into it. I like Hughes and OEL together, but it just means the talent drops significantly from there. Myers is a borderline top 4, and I don’t know how I feel about Schenn not playing with Hughes.
Hilarious.. Seattle only played 1 top 6 forward and beat how many Vancouver experienced top 6? Miller, GArland, Pettersson and maybe Hoglander… and you're suggesting who does and who doesn't?? I start asking, how much of Miller's and Pettersson's contracts are they giving back? lol
Tanner Person single-handedly caused 2 goals against better get that crap out of his system before it starts costing the Canucks regular season points. Brutal turnover in OT!
amen needs to replace dickenson for the season and rathbone needs to replace myers 2nd pair d-unit and drop myers to 5-6th on the depth chart…oel hughes 1 schenn rathbone 2 myers burroughs 3 and poolman odd man out or myers ..ratbone looks a young phil housley out there .
The one thing I took from this game is that both teams obviously hate each other. It's gonna be a great rivalry. Great game from both sides. Demko is definitely the backbone of the team.
I have to agree with you. As long as Demko is healthy, the Canucks are in any game. But if he gets hurt and needs to miss significant time – like over a month – they're in trouble. Who's available out there? Anybody the Canuckies can snag?
Joey Daacord was getting pummeled there in the first period.
Ryan Donato has had a couple of solid performances this preseason. His wraparound goal Monday was vicious.
As a Kraken fan I’m psyched for a healthy Tanev, a full season of Matty Beniers,, seeing what Bjorkstrand and Burakovsky can add to the team, and hopefully watching Shane Wright adapt to the NHL.
I'm dying for the Kraken to spark a rivalry, and tonight was a huge step in the right direction with the Canucks. I hope we hold on to Hayden for awhile.
Minor league goaltending on the last two goals, minor league sloppy turnovers, and minor league missed net shots cost Canucks the game. I'm constantly amazed by how many times the top guns like Petterson miss the net when shooting from a close distance. He isn't alone. "The shot is wide" and "it's over the top" is something I constantly heard last year from John Shorthouse to the point of driving me crazy. Basic role of the game of hockey: You can't score goals unless you hit the net, or hit the goalie and create a rebound. This has to improve or we're looking at a repeat of last season. On a positive note, Kuzmenko is a definite plus and I hope he will continue to be a real spark for Canucks. We're in for a tough rivalry with Seattle, who are a good team.
I love the Canucks but they always have sucked in they always will. I guess if it makes people feel good about this team they can become an eternal optimist ha ha
The biggest thing that’s alarming was Vancouver dressed most of their staring lineup. Seattle had 3 nhlers playing and 2 of them got hurt halfway through the game and Vancouver lost
Hey.. Kuzmenko.. easy there big guy.. you were shooting on Joey D"Accord.. who?? Right.. third stringer AHL calibre goalie.. Kuz reminds me of Hannu Jarvenpaa
I don't know why people are freaking like this people say oh this team sucks or this team gonan when the cup and it's only pre season every team is just testing out guys we know how most rosters look like and which when the season comes around well probably see a underdog team take off 👍🏾by the way nice video 👍🏾
I think If that was real season Vancouver would have won eight to one with the players that were on the ice You need three things good talent good coaching and good goal tending Vancouver has that And without good coaching you will never really know what you have
Petterson? I think you meant Pearson. Petterson was lights out good all night. Pearson had a good first then mailed it in and had 2 giveaways that led to goals.
I'm sorry but Demko didn't get worked. And 90% of NHL goalies should have had that. That being said. As in last year it wasn't the defense that cost the game. Forwards turning the puck over.

Agreed on preseason allowing ties

I know its preseason but the Canucks defense worries me….
Blues fan wanting to know what Shannon thinks about Dak. 6 hits!
Spencer Martin is a great back up. From what I’ve seen he is a gamer.
At least its not Halak.

its like reviewing a practice completely pointless

Imagine the Canucks A team not being able score ever since Martin Jones went in net….

Podkolzin and pearson need to switch spots pearson doesn't have any finish or playmaking ability

Holy cow did Garland have a horrible 3rd.
great comeback by the krappin!
It’s pre season. Don’t these games matter?
Well there went my Kraken's third shutout in a row thing.
And hey did anyone mention it's preseason?
Even so, three in a row.
