Adam Fox seems to do well for the Rangers after he refused to play for the Flames. Same with John Marino who refused the play for the Oilers. I just think it's a waste of time drafting players who don't want to sign a elc deal with the club that drafted them. That's the pitfalls of a NHL Canadian market(high taxes,weather,media and toxic fans). There are players, especially Americans who refuse to play for a Canadian team. Winnipeg is an example and fans complain about players contracts. Sometimes you have to overpay players because Winnipeg and Edmonton is not exactly an exotic destination spot for free agents.

Couldn’t agree more coach..copp wasn’t coming back so we got some assets for the future..not bad for a forth round pick originally.I like Appleton coming back who is similar too copp at a 1/3 the price n Sanford may be a reasonable 3rd liner to bang with Lowry..I think Chevy did great considering he gave this team a pass for the poor season n is giving them a chance to redeem themselves..beaulieu thank goodness is gone n is one less deterrent from getting one of the young guys in the lineup..either heinola or Sandburg..maybe they go on a run n win 13-14 games n sneak in..the two playoff games may cut some of chipmans losses

The way Appleton was playing down the stretch last year, I thought he had Top 6 written all over him. This won't be a popular opinion, but I'd love to see Appleton return to being that guy, and playing with Kyle Connor (especially) and Dubois. I think he's a huge addition for the team.

How does an NHL team Loose a NTC list? Like seriously ? I feel bad for dodonov. Awkward situation for him. Either get put back on a team that doesn’t want you or get sent to a team where they know you don’t want them… how could this happen? Even cap friendly knew ducks were on the no trade clause. I didn't like your take on Copp. At the beginning of the season we were looking at a team that could make a deep run into the playoffs. Signing Copp as a rental cost us nothing, hindsight is 2020 and yes we could've gotten more, but if we were a really good team this year we could be saying the same thing if we traded Copp. Why would we trade him when he was a free rental.
