It was great to see the battle of Alberta return last year and even as a Flames fan, after being beaten by Edmonton, I cheered for Edmonton as I'd love to see a Canadian team finally win it after 30years of the cup not coming home. Edmonton with all your number 1 overall picks, this is the team you've ended up with? You think Campbell is the goalie that will take you to the cup final? Your top 6 is set yes but your bottom 6 is kinda sketch. Let's talk defense, your highest paid player on D makes 9.2 mill against the cap? Between McJesus, Draisaitl and Nurse they make over 30million, with those numbers, anything less than a Stanley Cup is a failure but man, McJesus has gotta be a joy to watch nightly.

It’s only preseason but these gives the Oilers time to get ready for the regular season so the Oilers can get off to a good start and don’t have to chase down any teams during the regular season and close to playoffs as well.
