I disagree, I think this is how they should’ve played it. It’s simple, retro, and anything other than the royal blue old school look (goat head, slug) would’ve looked completely out of place in a heritage classic game.
Front logo very clean and detailed. Shoulder patch love it. Get rid of the white arm pits and maybe change the colour of the laces and my sense of balance would like it more
I ordered mine the minute they were available. Went with 89 Alex Tuch.
The Sabres Heritage jersey is ok cream color jersey I do say it's better than the Maple Leafs Heritage jersey
Buffalo has the best branding in all of sports, so going simple with their designs is always going to be a good decision. This jersey is phenomenal. There's nothing lazy, uninspiring and/or lackluster in this jersey; in fact it's quite the opposite. The addition of the textured logo from the 50th anniversary jersey, simplifying/modernizing the logo for the new royal blue and now the felt crest is putting this up there as the best branding of all time; sports or not. The white under the pits doesn't actually exist, not really sure why the pictures have them in it.
Even thought it is very simple, I love it!! If the wife lets me buy I would get Alex Tuch on the back. He’s been very good being over a point a game. ‘Knock on Wood’. They have been more exciting to watch this year even though they have been losing.
It’s 99% the same as their white one and for a special game it’s boring as heck
Love the content Neil! I like this jersey a lot, but you hit it right on the nail w Adidas… like how in the hell are amateur creators designing so much better jerseys than one of the top brands in the entire WORLD?! I just do not get it.
I am a Sabres fan and have basically collected all of their Adidas jerseys. Though this is a nice jersey by itself, it really disappoints me because of zero creativity. The fact that they kept on releasing “white” jerseys has really annoyed me as well. I may still buy it just for the sake of collecting but absolutely am disappointed by this release.

The actual jerseys for sale by the Sabres DO NOT have the white armpit area. They are in FACT the same color as the rest of the jersey.

That was my first reaction yep just basically the wave jersey in with that cream color it does give me that St. Louis Blues vibes. I mean it was my initial impression away jersey mix with the St. Louis Blues winter classic. Having said that it’s a nice looking jersey. However, I actually wish they would’ve put the Shoulder patch on the front. It looks much more like an early 1900’s logo than their current main logo which is definitely a more modern look. I’m telling you the shoulder patch logo would’ve looked way better on the front…oh yeah!
I may be in the minority here, but I think Toronto’s is better. I know it’s very simplistic and very boring looking, but I like it because it’s a perfect look for the heritage classic. I’m probably going to get both jerseys.

ShopOneBuffalo, the Sabres' store, has a render of the jersey and the underarms are off-white.
Its like the islanders reverse retro definitely lazy but regardless a really nice jersey and honestly if those white areas were off white then id want them to make that their new away which says something when they have top 5 away jersey in the league

I do like it. I grewup in Buffalo but live in chicago. I do agree on the white under the arms with youbut I will still buy it. I am a huge Sabres fan and so glad next year we will be wearing the black n red jerseys
I really like this jersey. I don't think, or I hope rather, that the white pit will be a part of the final product. Nothing breathtaking, just a solid hockey jersey. The Sabres have been on fire jersey-wise ever since that turdburger jersey.
I feel like this jersey is good but the white arm pits make really no scene. Also this jersey isn’t really that innovative and unique but I like the felt addition. Overall this is a good jersey

Chris from icesthetics in his video said he believes the white underarms was just a mock and it won't be on the actual jerseys. Let's hope he's right cuz the jersey overall is solid
I think this jersey is 10/10. The striping and logo is completely different from the Blues jersey, I don’t see the connection other than the colors being similar. They’re two completely different teams too, I doubt the Sabres gave any consideration into what other teams have done before when they planned this jersey. The Sabres haven’t done it before, so it’s new to them. They don’t care about the Blues past jerseys, and neither do Buffalo fans. Complaining about the little bit of white so much to where you say it ruins the jersey is super nit-picky to me. I don’t really see the issue with it, I didn’t even notice it until you pointed it out.
Also who are you to say that these amateurs who aren’t Sabres fans are designing better jerseys? You say so? How do you know what Sabres fans want in a jersey and that your amateur concepts are better than what these professionals who do this for a living are coming up with? Guess maybe Adidas should be looking into your videos for these amateur fake concepts when they’re looking for new jersey designers because these amateurs are so much better. Man they’re really missing out

I pre ordered this jersey and the numbers will not be felt they will be tackle twill , it was noted on the webpage when ordering which is a huge bummer but I still think the jersey looks good
The jersey is super clean. It looks good for what it is. I don't think they didn't try, but I think they played things wayyyyyyy too safe. They could have taken a bit more of a risk with this and for Toronto's. Clean, solid, but safe.

I think they should have used white or gold Stitch on the numbers would have brought more attention to the Felts
