  1. Kempe was in doghouse with Daryl Sutter (whom I adore as a Coach but never was ok with having his favorites and "losers"), was in doghouse in different form with TMac (he never played him with fast players and didn't play him in his natural winger position for extended time period).
I always knew Kempe could be an exceptional player because he thinks hockey to the likes of Forsberg – which means his hockey smarts are off the charts. Not that hardnosed as PF but this goal was a classic show of changing the speed and acceleration on 2 steps and envisioning his next variant after the first one didn't materialize. He knew exactly what he's gonna do the moment he oversped the backdoor attempt and went at it bit too fast. You can see him scanning the ice to watch where all the other Montreal players are and how static they were.
So he slows down up on top, drawing the red jersey towards him and then he puts the pedal to the metal. Classic European thinking in action (not trying to put down North American players but the hockey thinking is different with European bred players IF they ge their chance to do that here).
If there's a moment where you see an intelligent, skilled player putting on display several skills all at one and makes all the others look very average at best, this was the moment.
Kempe finally got the creative chance from TMac (more or less because TMac was losing it big time with his strict adherence to his "system", imho) and he loosened his leash with several players, Kempe included.
So now you have Iafallo, Kempe and young kids who are starting to take charge of the team.
It's also very interesting that they won all 6 without injured DD….
    Coincidence?
I think they grabbed the chance they got by the horns and they're running away with it.
Of course, this team is not yet anywhere near the 2 times SC winner quality – that team WAS something else altogether – but it's really nice to see that they are doing really well.
As for Kempe's goal, it's one of the best goals I've seen in a long time. Not the final shot, but everything before that.
Peter Forsberg would be proud of his countryman.

  2. Sorry to say this , but somebody or a lot of somebody's , have to be fired , here ! Enough is enough , the team lacks , dimension ! OMG ! Start with Allen , then head up , right to the head huncho .

  3. What happened to the Habs?!!! This is already a depressing year for my fellow fans and team of Quebec. Montreal must improve. Go Canadiens!!! Congratulations to the fans and team of California. Go Kings!!!

  4. The habs need another goaltender!!! Simple as that jake allen wasn't really good for the blues either. Bring up some young talent good luck! From a Rangers/Blackhawks Fan 😝

  5. This is one game the Habs should've won. They had the edge and many more scoring chances. Allen let in 2 softies.

  6. What a heads-up-play by Athanasiou on the OT winner. They were very close to being offside on the initial entry but he negated it to set up the GWG.

Edit: close to offside at least, can't find a definitive answer

  7. QUIK WAS THE 2 CUP RUN GOALIE OF THE PAST THIS PAST WEEK, 3 GAMES HE REALLY WAS INCREDIBLE if only he can stay healthy we could have a great late run, 6 games in a row im so happy🤣pete looks good but nothing can beat the ballet jumps of Quik, ..yes he took ballet early on in his career

  8. This organization has been allowed to be run into the ground by incompetent ownership and management…..it's sad to see what was once treated almost like a religion now treated like trash.

  9. Here’s the interesting thing about hockey handedness in the case of the cool Suzuki pass in the neutral zone. My bet is Suzuki is a right hander in terms of throwing, writing, and as a dominant hand. He shoots right in hockey yet most hockey players shoot left (62%) yet It generally has nothing to do with the persons dominant hand in real life. So in this case as a right shot Suzuki would have the strength to make that pass with only his right hand being on the top of the shaft of the stick. Myself as a left handed shot yet being a right hander in life would not be able to make that pass because the hand on top of my stick would be my left hand and would be weaker even tho that’s how I shoot in hockey! It’s not like every right shot in hockey is a left handed person, the math wouldn’t add up. It’s just interesting that certain players will have different abilities with the puck as it relates to the handedness even if those players are right hand dominant in life. This is why you typically see a more leveraged and powerful backhand from left shot players like Sid, Kane etc and it’s a more difficult leverage situation for right shots. Fun fact

  10. Kings played well on the road, but played terrible at home. Their record is 8-8-3 which is equal to 3 games under .500 because OT Losses and Shootout Losses are only count for 1 pt. In recent 5 home games, Kings have lost 3 games so far. They have more games left at home. Any teams that are not in the playoffs position after Thanksgiving will not make not make it to the playoffs. This stats are 89 to 95% facts. So the L.A Kings will not make it to the playoffs. Kings head coach Todd McClellan signed 2 years contract with the Kings. There is a possibility that Mr. McClellan will be fired in the next 2 months or the Kings top managements will renew his contract at the end of the season. Blackhawks already fired their head coach Jeremy Coliton like 2-3 weeks ago. Blackhawks are 6-10-3 or something like that. Blakhawks Downs will not make it to the playoffs in 21-22. I'm Arizona Coyotes still kept their head coach. Their record is 4-14-3, lol. Panthers head coach Joel Quinville resigned like 3-4 weeks ago. Cough! Cough! (sexual abuse cover up allegation against him or some bs like that.)
