  1. I thought I would make a comment to add some additional thoughts.

    1. That’s called satire at the end. I don’t actually think Adidas should hire me and that I would be the best candidate, I was just trying to make a point. I’ve done YouTube long enough to know that not everyone understands my bad jokes.

    2. I said it in the video, but I didn’t go into detail. I understand what this jersey is supposed to represent and why the letters are the way they are. I just believe they could have achieved the same look without literally replicated the letter ‘stylization’. I understand that this jersey is for Predators fans and Nashville residents, not jersey collectors. With that said, I would say roughly 80-90% of Predators fans opinions that I’ve seen on this jersey have been negative, so… even most Predators fans don’t feel it was ‘made for them’.

  2. This is by far better than anything they’ve ever worn. Their whole aesthetic is straight trash usually.

  3. I believe the letters are meant to emulate a letterpress look that often implements mismatched fonts. This look is popular in the regional graphic design, especially in things related to music. It doesn't quite succeed here because you lose the various imperfections that come with an ink print and doesn't translate to a sports jersey. As a graphic artist, I don't mind this. I don't love it but I think it looks fine in comparison to the Bolts and Jersey jerseys. As a Blues fans, I just want to say the StL jersey is the best stadium one this year. 😛

  4. Agree about the C. My only issue is the lettering on the back. Numbers and name should have both been white. Would have been a good contrast to the front.

  5. As a Preds fan I hate this so much it’s like the people who made it have no connection on what the fans want

  6. For stadium series, league and adidas designed the jersey- which is a damn shame because us Preds fans have waited a decade for a blue jersey again

  7. Wanna head to Smashville for some juicy smashburgers! Mmmm

  8. I have had more time to think about these winter classic jerseys and even though I still don’t like them that much, I just wanted to point out a couple of things.

I don’t like the “Bolts” much at all. I do like Nashville’s jerseys…juuust not the “smashville” thing..I don’t get it, it’s always been a real corny phrase and to now see it on a jersey is so cringy. I guess the theme was nicknames for this winter classic. Most winter/heritage classic jerseys have been a hit for me, but these 2 are a miss. A part of me says they work. I mean if you think of or look at sweaters from the early 1900’s until at least the 1940’s a lot of them looked pretty funky with the striping or or a letter or text for logos. I think these jersey designs do harken back to that era. I also think that the idea behind the goofy inconsistent font for smashville was to make the letter look as if they were being squashed or “smashed” together..idk?

  9. Idk if someone has already addressed some of this, but here are my thoughts:

    1. The C(/A): I'd say shrink it and move it inwards OR, and more preferably, move it to the top of the left arm, above the yellow stripe and numbers, because it looks to be more space for it there and I just don't think it fits or would look good on the front of the jersey.

    2. The Logo/Text: I get what they want to achieve with the letters overlapping the yellow onto the blue, like as if it fuses together. But it doesn't really work and it bugs me the f out. I think either fit the text so that it just touches the line between the blue and yellow and not overlapping OR have it printed on like the Anaheim RR jersey, which I also believe would make it WAY more comfortable to wear. The pick looks good.

    3. Font: I actually don't mind the different styles of the letters but I think that all the fonts on the jersey should follow the randomness. Having the name in clean letters looks off when the other text is random. So either ALL random or ALL clean, though I get that surnames could be difficult with the random font. Same goes for the numbers: clean or random, not both. They don't necessarily have to be the same as the text though.

4: Colors: Overall very good. I'm not quite sure about the white numbers on the back. I think it looks a little of but I also don't know if it would look better in yellow.

Overall I think the idea was good and interesting but, to me, weird choices where made and it kinda made it not that good and a lost opportunity in my opinion. I agree with Neil on a 4/10.

  10. Got my black authentic Devils "jersey" yesterday. It's looks sooooo much better in person and combing through it very carefully it's really grown on me. The design is a lot cleaner than I thought.. and that's a good thing for me at least.

  11. I was really hoping they would do a baby blue Tennessee titans theme since their playing in Nissan stadium

  12. The C throws it all off, same with how big the text is. Tho I want your opinion more on their jerseys they wear all the time….. Im interested to hear. Because I want to know what you would change to make it better. I feel that jerseys are fine but could use something different.

  13. This is probably the worst jersey I've seen released in my life. Definitely gonna end up on the Walmart clearance rack

  14. I like the guitar pick and colors of the jersey. The SMASHVILLE should've been smaller or completely removed. Think it would've been perfect if they made the guitar pick larger

  15. Nashville needs to make some quick changes this is just plain and simple not acceptable. I get the guitar pick as a front logo but the saber tooth tiger would have been a better or a variation of it.

  16. Neil: "Now let me tell you what i HATE about this jersey"
youtube: "Sorry, our videos are limited to 10 hours" 🙂

  17. This jersey is destined for fisherman status. Everyone hates it now, but ten years from now they'll want it in their collection and the price will go up & up!
