  1. I must admit, I did not really think that they would sign Bergeron and Krejci. This is interesting

  2. If you havent done one already…. Request a video on the type of contract you think swayman is going to be looking for/get.

  3. These two additions should help Boston sneak into the playoffs despite the early season injuries. It won't get them out of the first round.

  4. Always a Krejci fan. I expect alot with Pasternak on his wing. Big upgrade. I'm happy to see his return to the NHL.

  5. Just when you thought BNG couldn’t be happier…😉

  6. Sounds like Bruce Cassidy was a problem for the whole locker room. This isn’t a Krejci problem. All of a sudden, he and Bergeron both resign, and DeBrusk rescinds the trade request? I bet a big hold up on a Pasta deal was contingent on this too.

  7. Krejci played well at Worlds this year. He and Pasta still had good chemistry too. To act like he’s going to be a bum is ridiculous. With Hall and Pasta, that line is going to be a lot of fun to watch

  8. I’m with you on not liking the way he left. He left for dumb reasons if it was because Cassidy. I bet he has fallen of the train and you see him in a 3rd or 4th line role

  9. They need Krejci just to center the 2nd power play unit that was disaster all last year.

  10. You make valid points. Krejci could indeed be a year older/slower. OTOH, both Hall and Pasta have speed to push the puck into the offensive zone. Once there, Krejci (who never shoots enough) is a very good setup guy, and could make both of his linemates very productive. Pasta will score with anyone, but Hall could be much better with Krejci than Haula. And that's not a knock on Haula, who outplayed his expected role on the team last year. The other thing about Krejci is that he seems to find another gear in the playoffs. That's very valuable. Most guys don't.

  11. Next year also Foligno, Nosek, Wagner and Smith will have their contracts end, freeing up space.

  12. I don't begrudge Krejci a year in Chechnya for selfish reasons, whatever they may be. He earned it. Happy to have him back. The Bruins are not a great team, and may struggle out of the gate due to injuries. They will struggle with younger faster teams, but at the end of the season I expect them to still be top 5 or so in GA/GM, and that goes a long way.

As for Chara, I do expect him back as strength and conditioning coach, or a similar role. Younger guys training with him and going against him in a practice setting would be fantastic for them.

  13. agree with comments it might have been more of a Cassidy problem.. Bergeron, DeBrusk, and rumours about Pasta… and well throw in Rask's stand-off-ish attitude … cassidy leaves, and they all want to be back? This is a case 46 might even be recharged.. and play as good as when he left. He at least was still playing competitive hockey… and yes likely much less pressure – he maybe healed. On another note if he degraded, an 80% Krejci is better than anything they had/have behind Bergy.

  14. I think we need to remember that in Krejci's last year in Boston, he had very little talent on his wings. Once the deal for Taylor Hall was made, Krejci's numbers really took off! Now add Pasta on the right side can only add to the production.

  15. I hope Krejci proves me wrong but I have a feeling he might be rusty and washed up. I love him but it’s time to move on after this season

  16. If Krejci produces even half of what he did in the past then it’s a great move. He had 23 points in the 2013 post season. I think he’s capable of producing half that now.
