    Johnathan is gonna be a fan favorite, he gave up UFA statue's signs a 8 year contract with heart and soul dedication to a team he hasn't even played a minute with. This will go along way with fans and the relationship with Johnathan.

    Im all for this contract, this is essentially what they had planned for Gaudreau so the money isn't a shock and IMO I feel smart players in the NHL age more gracefully than others I think he'll produce for ALOT of this contract. Congrats Calgary now get that Weegar deal done and have a nice cap situation heading into next year.

    He wanted Long Term obviously for his Family and listen Calgary is a great City for playing hockey and raising a Family. With that kind of Money being thrown at you as well makes everything a whole lot easier and your decision a whole lot easier that's a big Contract. The only thing that sucks is the Cold Alberta winters but he's Canadian he can handle it we grow up being used to it so good for him. 🙂
