Pens speed up the game and rangers slow down the game, but the speed won. Rangers need the mimic their speed and try to out pace them.

Shesterkin is a great goalie, but once Pittsburgh got the dirty goals, and he got lost, he started playing bad, giving up bad goals, that he would usually save,
The rangers will learn for the future,
In the playoffs, it's a different game,

I've been a Ranger fan for over 60 years and you come to expect this type of performance from this franchise, by far the worst team of the original six. They are 2-5 against the Pens in their playoff history, soon to be 2-6. If we're super lucky they'll capture the cup within 50 years of their last one, 1994.

First game in 4 years I shut off after 2, that 2nd period made the 1st Saturday look like and instructional video on great defense. The should have scored 8 if they could finish, beside Mika the fans have a better shot at beating Crosby or Carter on a draw. That said I'm an optimist and a win Wednesday will change everything.

Spin it how you want but the young players aren't the problem, it's the veterans. They are getting destroyed by a 3rd string goalie. Nemeth, Braun, Rooney, Hunt, Strome are garbage and everyone was saying "Just wait till the playoffs start, you'll see". This team needs a real #2 center who can actually win a draw or not miss empty nets. Zibanejad is MIA. What happened to the checking? They are getting outworked and this is not an experience issue. And Shesterkin looks AWFUL, I have no idea what eyes people are looking with. He gives up 5 goals a game now and we are going to say they are all the teams fault. Imagine the comment section if Georgiev gave up 5 goals a game. He has been out of position a TON. Crosby goal last game he was in the net behind the goal line before the shot even took place. If their confidence is so fragile that one over turned goal and a double OT loss means the series is over they don't deserve to be in the playoffs.
