  1. I think they should bite the bullet on Foegele. I like the player but he seems to be the most logical piece to move on with players like Holloway coming up. That being said, Bruce mentioned the comrodorie and I know Forgele was there with the team at that golf tournament.

  2. One thing that does not work in Jesse's favor is the body language of Leon &Connor when he misses slam dunks delivered by them lol

  3. I hope Barrie gets moved, he has the highest cap hit of the 3 and has the most trade value, Bouch is more than capable of taking over PP1.
Trade Barrie for a 3rd pairing shutdown guy and whatever else you can get in the deal.
Pulju and Foegele could both have bounce back seasons and if they do they’re size/strength could thrive in playoffs.

  4. Very much improved background David. Glad you're starting to have more fun with the 'cast. 😉👍

  5. I predict that foegle, JP, Barrie, and 1 st round pick will be traded to get Patrick kane. With shitcago retrain 40% salary

  6. Why is McDavid leading in those other stats and JP is? Easy. McDavid is utilized in other roles and logs a lot more TOI When JP is on ice, he is much more rested than others. Woodcroft always puts his top line on the ice to finish off a penalty, most the time it works out but some times the PK slips enough for the opposition gets a late penalty goal. That will skew McDavid, Draisaitl, etc numbers.

  7. Yeah I think JP is excluded in a lot of off ice activities. I think JP doesn't fit in the buddy system within the Oilers. You watch JP on the bench and sure at times he chats with other players but over all he sits on the bench and just watches the game. Easy to miss as he has a resting smiley face but I don't see him having a buddy that he chats with often. JP could be a good player, but he isn't very consistent. I think a lot of it has to do with the chemistry with the whole team.

  8. Keith was the worst defender in the playoffs. It's not even a debate, straight up facts.

  9. Never known any Oiler Fan to criticize Draisaitl's work ethic. I often wonder if David's "People Say" are just opposing team internet trolls.

  10. This one's on me Boy's…They are Keeping Fogle and not keeping JP..and it's not a guess! To win the cup, guy's like Fogle are a must. There you have it.

  11. I'd say jp has a wee bit of entitlement all because he was the fourth overall pic a few years back…expects to be in the top six all the time…I mean he has definitely made some strides since returning from Finland..but not enough to be a permanent fixture in the oilers top six.

  12. I hope the Oilers at least try to fight for that extra 3.4 million of space from the Keith retirement. There are good arguments for why it should stand

  13. Why do people think of 3rd round draft picks like they matter? Even if they do, saving 2.75 against the cap in the McDavid-Draisaitl window is an EASY decision

  14. Regarding Bruce's observation on the JP video pack, yes it would be 100% easy to put together an incriminating pack of JP missing shots, whiffing on passes, having the play die on his stick. An edited video is very flattering of the guy. I'm in the camp that would like to see him traded, but for a good return. So I'd love to see him start the season again and play well and score a bunch of goals and then earn a bigger return for the Oilers in a trade. I would also trade Yamamoto to Seattle if it brought a good return. I'm not convinced that Yamo is a playoff support character

  15. Move Jessi P. He is not jelling with Mc D or Drai Line. He doesn't want to play on lower lines. JP does not want to play here is the feel I get. So experiment over move him. Barry and Foggie want to play here. Get rid of distractions in the locker room.

  16. This podcast is the absolute best thing during the off season, you guys rock. Thanks for keeping it going through the summer.

  17. Why not move yamo?…he played a lot more games then Jesse …I believe he played 81 and Jesse played 65..but yamo only had four more points!…Jesse was great until he got Covid and injuries!…

  18. Don’t mind Pulu or his contract but I have to wonder what his teammates think about him and his trade requests.

  19. Button got cold feet on Bouch after the WJC disappointment if i remember correctly.

  20. Nurse is overpaid and a hindrance on cap space for what he does on ice he is a 4 mill max player but what do I know haha regardless go oilers

  21. It was Bouchards first full season last year and he played with Duncan Keith, a future hockey hall of fame defenseman, He's not a veteran and he hasn't proven himself. I think too many people don't see how an all star defenseman controls the ice with never touching the puck or being near it. The Oilers are missing a true number 2 and 3 spot defensman, Barrie at number 4 and no one else has truly earned any spot higher. Nurse was covering for Ceci being out of position way too much and that takes Nurse out of his position. And Campbells contract might make Koski's contract look good, especially since Koski went 27-12-4 last season then they boot him. Good luck Oilers.

  22. When JP is playing with confidence, he’s great. Different players respond differently to negative feedback, for JP it dissolves his confidence and ultimately his play. Doesn’t help that he doesn’t appear to be accepted by teammates. As Captain, Connor should be making more of an effort to ensure he feels part of the team. IMO

  23. Do you think Connor MacDavid is a leader or is he just an extremely skilled player? I think conparison goes to Sidney Crosby with whom we didn’t have same discussion of blaming players around him, instead he made average players top line goal scorers.

  24. Bruce is on fire 🔥 he's making this summer count!!!

  25. Idk about Petry being 'such a loss' for Oilers. I think mentorship is still a valuable source for development. I say Petry got better once Shea Weber got his hands on him.

  26. Who the fuck is bro-berry that’s two podcasts and your still fuking up. Staples is an idiot
