Adding Manson looks to have been a great move by Sakic. Even though the Kings pressed a bit in the 2nd, the defense only allowed a few decent chances and kind of made it easy on Kuemper for his 2nd SO in a row. Manson adds a ton of physicality to the blue line and the Avs are going to be a lot tougher to play against. Getting Sturm will make their bottom six tougher to play against as well and as much as I liked Josty and will miss him, it was the right move in preparation for the playoffs and not to forget the $1.25M in additional cap space it freed up to snag a big name forward in the coming days. Super Joe going all in as the window is as wide open as it’s going to get this season.

I always thought Manson had some underrated defensive abilities but that Wolanin Shot was almost perfectly placed not a lot of people stopping that
one thing is unquestionable. the avs have to play this kind of defence the rest of the way. thats the only way they hoist a cup.
