It was Vegas's game all the way until the 3rd. So many steals and intercepts that the Avs should be a bit ashamed of their performance. If people really think the VGK are such a bad team then the Avalanche should have had a more convincing victory.
What a terrible highlights package… 5 and a half minutes out of 9 are the 1st period! Probably 1/3 of those ‘highlights’ for the 1st period could’ve been taken out. Sort the editing out, as this keeps happening!

Colorado is starting to remind me of the Detroit teams of the 90s / 00s… Front-line stars but also a bunch of grinders down on the 3rd and 4th lines. Detroit had Draper , Maltby, LaPointe , Primeau…. The Avs have Compher , Jost, Newhook, O'Connor …. Great team top to bottom. I don't see anyone beating them this year save for the Leafs maybe
it's better the avs make the mistakes now…if they can learn from them the n they should have a quality run in the playoffs…championships aren't guaranteed those go to the teams that are thr hungriest..so hopefully the avs have a big appetite
Vegas has a bunch of over priced players that have nothing to achieve. Pietrangelo, Martinez, Pacioretty, Stone, Karlsson, Lehner, and Marchessault all have long term deals and are well fed. The first year every player on the team had to prove themselves and it showed. The were hungry and worked their asses off. This year they have ZERO heart, ZERO work ethic. They have talent but just don't do the little things to make them contenders. They will NOT make the playoffs.
