Great excitement at the end for Blues fans. If Buchnevich does not hit the post the game is tied. ill will be interesting though to see how Husso does in the playoffs for the first time. It's a different season and much more physical. I well remember the 1980-1981 Blues team was similar and they were beat by a physical Rangers team in the second round and when I looked it up just now they actually had a losing record yet were in the playoffs that year.
The Blues are a scary team heading into the playoffs. That first round match up with the Wild is going to be fantastic! What a grueling series that will be.
I love it when we clown Binnington. That dude is lucky to have only cost his team one goal. He had three terrible giveaways behind the net, and he KEPT doing it!
Of course, Binner could've played better (can't look over screens – geesh!) but…they only had three goals going into 3rd, Blues played soft on D – turnovers, etc. and O-zone by not scoring on earlier chances YET they still had chance as shot went off the post in last 2 minutes! Both teams were missing key players and I think Blues were worse off. Let's see what happens when they meet in 2nd round.
Love Steve Levy's play by play! The President's trophy might be off the table now, but after last year I don't think it matters that much. Just glad to see this losing streak come to an end. I'd rather have them going into the playoffs with a little momentum. However, if we end up playing Florida in the finals and it goes to game 7 then the home ice advantage could be a factor. Long way to get to that though!
