  1. sabres will win a cup before the leafs lol

go to buffalo better chance to win soupman

  2. Id take Campbell in a minite,3 yeaer deal, big money in 1st 2 years cause power dahlin and thompson gonna be making big money in upcoming contracts

  3. Toronto is becoming the Goalie Graveyard that the Canucks once were. And that’s unfortunate because goaltending hasn’t been the problem. The Leafs definitely pulled an Irbe getting rid of Andersen. Just watch a team win the Cup with a former Leafs goalie.

  4. I don't think soupy would want to sign with a rebuilding team he would want to sign with a continuing team

  5. Let’s bring Jack home to Michigan. He can battle it out with Nedeljkovic for a year or two and the winner gets to mentor Sebastian Cossa in the 24-25 season.

  6. After the leafs signing Timothy this morning the have less then the oilers for cap space and its either soupy is gone or iliya

  7. Maybe, then the leafs should get Binnington or Kuemper if they leave their teams

  8. A system? For a goalie? I thought it was just about stopping the puck. What is so systematic about that? A goalie is a goalie like a field goal kicker is what he is for the NFL CFL etc. It seems like pretty basic logically.

  9. As a Sabres fan I'd like to see Jack sign with us. I think he would be a good goal tender to lead us into the "Devon Levi" era. I'd be comfortable with a 3 year / 6 aav deal

  10. Why would Buffalo need top 6 forwards? Jack Quinn rookie of year in AHL and JJ Peterka who as a rookie was outstanding for Amerks, both should be on the Sabres next year.

    Skinner Thompson Tuch
    Krebs Middelstadt Ollofsson
    Peterka Cozens Quinn
    Asplund Girgensons Okposo

Not sure where the top 6 forwards will play unless Ollofsson is gone.

  11. The fact this is from Dregger means it’s probably never even been talked about. He has no league sources.

  12. lol watch out the Sabres will be competing for a playoff spot this year and next year will be in the playoffs. I also don't know a more positive market in hockey than in Buffalo. In Buffalo if you play well you are a legend. In Toronto all it takes is one bad year to ruin your self esteem as a hockey player

  13. Jack was great both playoffs. i know that sv pct isnt great but having watched every shot and goal against, he was good enough to win the series. Sv pct was shot on those games Leafs n Lightning traded 5 goal win margins. Killed vasilevskys 1st round sv pct too. Also throughout the season the Leasf kinda retracted from their smart defensive play and patience. So his droughts were a combo of the team in front of him as much as himself being off. Just to add a lil context beyond the numbers for anyone pondering him signing with your team

  14. i'd love to see jack in buffalo. that could be a huge get and turn around piece for the rebuild.

  15. In the current franchise mode that I’m playing Jack Campbell did go to the Sabres so it’s possible but I doubt they do that in real life

  16. As a Sabres fan, I would love to see soup in Buffalo especially with the young but skilled defense being there. I also do believe that the Sabres defense could be one of the better defenses in the league, this is something soup didn’t really have in Toronto. Overall I think a 3-4 year deal with around 7 million aav would work out best especially for giving Levi time to progress at his pace.

  17. Jack is a decent goalie not great goalie the issue is in the head IF he can solve this he can be great. Let’s in soft goals from time to time and blames himself way too much. Leafs don’t pay him more than $4 million aav or if you want sign him to 6 years will lower aav.

  18. I would love him on the team❤
Yes we have these guys in pipeline but not proven yet in AHL or NHL
fill the holes on the team now this year and let the best person win the job in the future.
If they fill the holes on team then they should be able to complete for playoffs spot this year.
YES IT HOPE come on we can hope now!

  19. With the amount of cap space the Sabres have, they are in the driver’s seat where it comes to player personal.I wouldn’t be surprised by any moves Kevyn Adams makes leading up to the coming season.Go Sabres go!

  20. Levi is only 20 and hasn't played a game in the NHL and isn't signed. Let him grow. Give Campbell 4 years and for the rest, we will see. I would prefer though to trade for Gibson or Hellebuyck or Samsonov.

  21. One thing I can't imagine is Campbell signing in Buffalo (or frankly anywhere) on a 2 year deal. At his age, this is his one shot at a legit contract. He's not going to get term at 32 when that contract would be over. I think wherever he goes (whether it's Buffalo, back to Toronto, etc) he's probably not settling for less than 4 years.

No question Campbell is a person that is very impacted by his mentality and emotional state. But I don't see him just wanting to go to Buffalo to chill out for a couple years. If he's going to a team that's building…I'm pretty sure he'll want a contract that will keep him there when the tide turns. Just because he's best when things are calm doesn't mean he doesn't want to win.

  22. After playing in Toronto I doubt he will want to come back to Buffalo. Most likely somewhere like Edmonton.Buffalo has been having a hell of a time.

  23. If Toronto thinks Mrazek and Kallgren are their goalies…. we have a problem. God, I hope Jack stays.

  24. 3 year deal is fine.
In terms of money that's a tricky one.
Possibly $5mil or $5.5mil per (again 3 years max of course).
Anything more than that & the Sabres should walk away.

  25. Would still prefer a lower risk with upside goalie……
    Eric Comrie
    19g last season 2.55gaa .920% ($750k)
2 year deal at $1.75mil per (Possible 3rd year).
