    I'm really liking Luukkonen, he was pretty good in the couple of games that he played for the sabres last year. But he looks more ready this year, though it's still pre-season so who knows.

    I agree, UPL should be the 1A now. Anderson will be the back-up/mentor and Comrie will be waived (as he is 2-3 times every year) to be sent to Rochester if he isn't claimed.

    Ya can't put too much stock in pre season, but this promises to be a loooong season for my flyers… and not in a deep playoff run kinda way

    An interesting video/math project: What would happen if a team just said screw it, we're forfeiting the season. We're going to be 0-82. How would that affect standings if that had happened last year for instance. Just an auto 1-0 win for every team that would have played them.

    Hypothetically, not suggesting the Flyers do that, keep their AHL guys in the AHL instead of having both the Flyers and the Phantoms being terrible… But seriously, if they're going to have Risto unable to play hockey, not clearing the crease, not shooting. It's going to be miserable to watch.

    Will Torts bench the guys who just are not trying? Or get stuck with the well Chuck gave them a truckload of money, might as well have them out there being stupid.

    No doubt, the Sabre's brass is salivating at UPL's potential to make the big club. At the same time, they're willing to let him slow cook in Rochester this season to maximize that potential, hence the signing of Comrie. Unless Comrie morphs into something more, he'll be gone after 2 years
