So coach, we have a second pick in the first round (pick 14 and one somewhere in the 29-32 range). What do you do… trade one, both to adress a need right now or draft both (given the JETS history drafting may not be a bad idea)?

Copp is a huge for the rangers and a trip to the Eastern conference finals is definitely worth the cost of a first round pick
In full disclosure, I am also a Rangers fan because they were my Dad's team and I became his personal in game commentator near the end of his life.
So, while I was sad to see Copp leave the Jets, I was happy that he ended up with the Rangers and knew he would be a big difference maker for them.
Really hope we see Copp hoist the Cup this year.
That trade deal for Copp (who we wouldn't have been able to retain anyway) has become really lucrative!
Unfortunately for Jarvis, his career may now be limited depending on the severity of the concussion he received when he got leveled by Trouba.

I'm from England (NFFC and Red Wings fan) and our fan culture here is different (talking mainly about football, there is no "2nd team" haha. Just your team and hate everyone else). BUT I would be happy to see the Jets succeed, i.e. they're not a team I hate. Guess I don't mind them or the Sens or Sabres, always wanted those fan bases to see some happiness. With that in mind commisserrations on the Scheifele situation, it saeems inevitable that you guys will be forced into a major retool or low-key rebuild soon. I was sceptical about yur playoff hopes last September and tbh I don't see it changing next season even if Perfetti, Dubois and others develop better than expected. I hope Cheveldayoff is proactive rather than reactive when it comes to recognising the one step back leading to two steps forward down the line approach. The longer you leave trading Scheifele and possibly Wheeler, the less you get in return. Just hope it doesn't lead to Hellebuyck wanting out too.
I'm saying this because Ken Holland. And this season, from a distance, Chuck Fletcher has also lost his mind and fucked the Flyers over for the next decade. Jets need to avoid this. Maybe not full rebuild justan acceptance that you can build on the assets you already have while acquiring high quality future assets. I know, preaching to the choir and all that!
The problem is, is the Jets are becoming the Rangers farm team. The Rangers draft like crap, and then wait to see what picks turnout in other teams…and then trade their crap for our good picks. They win , we lose. It's kinda like the government winning every lottery from taxation. My .02 c

As a Rangers fan the addition of Copp has been so significant that the value we gave up became almost instantly irrelevant. Now knowing that it becomes a first for you guys, use it wisely. It would make me very upset as a fan not taking advantage of local talent like that. I hope it works out Up there in Winnipeg
