Good thing you announced this segment on yesterday's podcast, huh?
And renaming to 5 minute major since they will be between 5 and 10 min!
Glad to see Lalonde in Detroit before the draft,
but don’t disparage Blashill,he didn’t have much
to work with. I used to defend Holland but I now
see that he overpaid out of loyalty.
Wonder who he wants to bring along with him as an assistant
What is his contract? And when is the media presser for him?
Very glad it’s Lalonde. I think he relates well with players as per his assistant stay in Tampa. I sincerely hope he continues his individual tutoring to the young Wings.
Even with this hiring, it’s way way way too early to be expecting the team to be a bubble playoff team, or putting any sort of expectation on the team..we are still young and still in a rebuild. We still have a couple more years before any mention of playoffs should even be in the conversation. Hiring Lalonde is a step in the right direction, but it isn’t going to fix everything immediately. We don’t even know who is coming or going or staying with the team yet, as Yzerman could make some trades. We still need a few pieces and we still need a few of our prospects and young guys to develop and mature.
Just the update i was looking for, thanking you 🙂
Excellent hire. Wings should improve by 12-15 points and maybe sniff at a playoff spot.
