I dont think they're really there yet. The team itself looks impressive when they win, but the defensive issues that crop up for them are glaring. I don't see how they survive a series against the Avalanche without playing perfectly.
While I agree with the vast majority of what you said, mark giordano won the Norris the year after Hamilton was traded so that was the last time we’ve had a defensive superstar

I do worry about Jacob markstrom soft goals against at times.
Gunna be a huge off-season for Calgary. Could a team offer sheet Mangiapne to a number that Calgary can't match? What about Oliver Kylington? And what can they do to shed the contracts of Monahan or Lucic? Lots of work for Treliving to kick off the off-season

Take it from a lifelong Flames Fan… I love this team yes… but I know deep down they are not going.to win during my life time.
Of course.. I wish I were wrong about this. However when your team let you down year after year consistently over the stretch of 30 + years, it's quite difficult to find a reason to believe they can go all.the way.
I would not bet on Calgary.
Hopefully, the flames may be the first Canadian team in almost 30 years to win the Stanley Cup (Having won 1 title back in 1989).
