I like some of your ideas..if you can find a team dumb enough to take wheeler I’d be super happy..his best days are over n his contract is a anchor..scheiffle has had a tough year but his contract is tremendous value n unless you can get similar value I say keep him..never trade Kyle Conner

Love the content as always. I really wish the Jets went after gallant.. look what he's done with the rangers.. I couldn't have agreed more. Wheeler needs to go.. they need to rebuild that dress room and create a new attitude. Hasn't worked.. and now it's showing. Maybe they turn things around but I doubt it. Keep it coming coach ryand!!

Totally agree with you coach. Even though I'm a die-hard Jets fans I'm on board with making some major trades. Maurice vs. Lowry is turning out to be a case of the new boss is the same as the old boss. Just like a classroom; a better teacher can make a difference but at the end of the day it's up to the students to improve the overall GPA of the class. Same with a hockey team, the determining W factor is up to players. As far as players that I wouldn't mind trading: Wheeler (yes I said it), Copp (ok but still not my cup of tea), Beaulieu (cuz he's a hole in our blue line), Scheifele (just cuz he's too streaky), Morrissey (a smart player but huge return value), Stanley (big D man so could peak interest of other franchises)… others I wouldn't shed a tear over if the trade made sense: Stastny, Svechnikov, Vesalainen, Gustafsson. The only players that I would argue that we definitely keep: Ehlers, Connor, Hellebuyck, Dubois, Perfetti & Harkins. The rest that I have not mentioned are neutral in-betweeners for me, they could go or stay and I wouldn't care. Those are just my thoughts and opinions on this matter.
Wheeler is unmovable. No team wants 8.25 mill cap hit.

100% agree with one small exception. If Hellebuyck is a locker room cancer, he’s gotta be on the trade table. Winning teams can handle locker room strife but if you’re losing, it can’t be cured until the tumours are removed.
I miss Tanev’s grit on the wing. Been fun watching Poganski throw himself into the corners. I like Ehlers but sometimes it looks like he’s playing soccer; throwing himself on the ground looking for a red card. Copper is great, on the third line. I don’t think he has enough hands, speed, or grit combo to compliment a first line centre. (Willing to be wrong on that but it reminds me of Roslovic thinking he is a first liner. He is, but not on a cup contending team. I think the same is true in Copp’s case. Sometimes ego exceeds reality.)

Hey Coach here's what I see!
We need truculence, we need guys who will mix it up, and not back down. We are week on the forecheck, we don't us our body to separate the man from the puck. We do the poke and pray, poke at the puck and pray it pops out. If we don't get a chance off the rush, or if we chip it deep and do by some fluke get to the puck first, we pass low to high. With luck there is a point shot, but we don't ALL, (except PLD) go to the dirty areas to take the goalie's eyes, so the tender can see the shot all the way and make an easy save.
We don't back pressure enough we have soft gap! We aren't physical enough in boxing out, we don't us our bodies to separate the man from the puck in the D zone, and we don't use our bodies to shield the puck to start the breakout under pressure! We wrap it around the boards far too often.
We need to trade for a few player that bring a physical edge while still being players, but not goons!

Coyotes fan here (even tho u hate us and want us out also yes we exist) I say it's not a bad deal with the Chychrun trade I do think there would be better options but I'd be fine with that deal
I would pull a Minnesota and buy out Wheelers contract because let's face it, no team will want him with his current price tag at over 8 million a year and there's only three years (including this one) left on it. I think a Bo Horvat or Brendan Gallagher for Mark Schiefele would be an excellent 1 for 1 trade in terms of what those guys bring to the table in terms of leadership and motivation.
Buliding a stanley cup worthy top six forwards plan has expired…. build around hellebuyck he's a cup quality goaltender, he has the intensity and talent with the balls to match…. when as wpg, past or present, have a goaltender of this quality since the Khabibulin-wall?
