Lou Amarillo isn't going to trade for someone who is making more $$$, and he's smart enough to see he doesn't want an Armia on his team, he's been around forever (Lou), and is a smart dude. We need to put Price on the LTIR, and hopefully Gallagher has a bounce back year, even if he gets 20 goals, he might be able to be moved at the deadline. As much as I love Gally, and his work ethic, and just his game, he is making WAY too much money. I am sure Habs will have to retain some of his salary. But just getting Price on the LTIR, and having Gally gone frees up almost $20M!! lol. Crazy, thanks Bergedick. Great signings, tbh tho, when he locked Price up long-term i was stoked, a good Gm should have known a guy that plays 60 plus games a year isn't going to be in great shape at 33, 34, and it declines fast. I think that hit by Kreider has a lot to do with his injuries. I wonder if Price secretly hates him, it wasn't the best play in hockey, that's for sure, was pretty ugly.

This trade does nothing for the Isles in their attempts to clear cap space because the Habs cannot afford any salary takes.So unless Lou just happens to want one of the habs salary dumps this trade has ZERO chance of happening.
