A little nervous, Henke, if I’m being honest. I’m optimistic, but last season is going to be a tough act to follow. A lot of things went right for us that seem like they’ll be difficult to replicate. How many goals is Kreids gonna score? Can Igor have another Vezina/Hart-worthy season? Will the power play remain elite?
And then several other questions remain. Will the members of the kid line finally reach their potential? Is our RW depth still an issue? Is our bottom D pair going to be okay? Related to all of those, is our even strength game still a concern?
If we take a step backwards, I can already hear the « experts » pulling out the « I told ya so’s », and I ain’t got time for that shit. I’m already getting enough of that right now as a Mets fan. It’s tough, Henke. It’s tough. Hold me please.
