   I would’ve prefered seeing him in the ohl tbh.

   Previous reports were that Mesar wanted to go to the AHL while the organization was preferring the OHL. Looks like they ended up going with the AHL.

   Have to think that the decision came from how solid Mesar’s looked, as well as the potential pairing of him and Slaf in Laval.

   Interesting. Would rather him there.

   I hope this becomes a trend not only for the Habs new management but the league as a whole. Transitioning the AHL from a goon league to a development league should be the focus.

   its gonna be a bit rough for him but I trust he can make it work. it’s gonna be good experience either way but if they start him as a center he’s gonna struggle for the start

   I’m not as dialled in to our prospects as I used to be – I know Mesar’s a late first rounder, but what kind of player does he project to be? Is he expected to develop into a top-six guy, or more of a two-way checking forward with some offensive upside?

   If he goes to the AHL(ie: not as a loan), does that prevent him from being sent to the OHL if he doesn’t make the cut?
