I am beginning to understand how completely toxic Habs fans can be. Jeez, lay off the kid for five minutes. Just because he doesn’t come out of the gate like Lindros 2.0, doesn’t mean he’s a BUST. Try having REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS for a little while. His confidence will be destroyed within a year.

These 9 games can be played at anytime during the season, right? Then how about this. Slaf starts the season in Laval, and for about a month or two. Then in december, you call him up and have him play the 9 games. This way, he could have the time to adjust fully to smaller rinks in the AHL, being sheltered a bit to help him progress. If he can bring some thunder to an otherwise boring, unengaging december game, then that's an excellent sign of things to come with him.

I’m a leaf fan, but i say give Slaf some time to develop, he’s not really NHL experienced yet and not use to controlling the puck, wouldn’t suprise me if he scores against Ottawa tho, it can be possible, since he played a little better last night

Slav plays like Engvall. I have not seen much as far as a physical game or an NHL shot. Needs to go to the AHL to adjust to the smaller ice surface. If he dominates then bring him up for a look. He needs to play big minutes to develop. Habs have made a lot of changes and need time to see if they have good chemistry. Probably more trades at the deadline for guys on last year of contracts.
He's really young and he's fine. Would not hurt for him to go play in Jrs or he will do fine at the NHL. It could take two years. Some power forwards are like that. As soon as his confidence kicks in he will be a lot different. Don't think he knows how big and strong he is. I think he will be in the Calder picture.
