    Torts is very obnoxious and I don't care for him at all. On the otherhand… me makes the Playoffs A LOT. I'd prefer them chase down Trotz. Seems unlikely, but that's the coach they need.

    Please no! So many other better hires than this guy! If he's a place holder… sure, but 2 year contract max if they do go after him. Perhaps ALL the other candidates want to go somewhere else, but he is not on the top of the list at all!

    John Tortorella would draw the attention away from the players. Not ideal. Idk Gallants contract with the rangers but he and the quiet leader (yzerman) were/are good pals and line mates in the 80s. Gallant will take the rangers to the promised land next year. I pick Rick Bowness (red wings alumni) stepped down from stars under Jim Nill (ex front office guy with Detroit).

    I don’t like Torts for Detroit but I admittedly only know what little I’ve seen, and it hasn’t been great.
    Stevie knows more than me, let’s see what happens.

    I think Cassidy is less emotional.

    I'm only a 40 year fan of hockey and I've never played more than street hockey on rollerblades but I would think you would have to give a coach more than 2 years to prove him/herself. Especially in what I feel is a rebuilding still in progress. Maybe not 5 years but 3 maybe 4. Not trying to say the pros are wrong. Nor am I asking to be put in the turtle. Just my thoughts. 🤜🐢

    If Yzerman hires Yosemite Sam, the Team will fail miserably. Yosemite was blessed to be with Tampa when the Team was stacked and won Cup. More players hate his guts than any other coach. The moron is rude, crude, loud, obnoxious and dumb as spit! If Yzerman makes him coach it will do 2 things: extend the Rebuild by YEARS and confirm Yzerman is very over rated. There won't be any players celebrating his hire. ANYONE can be a hard ass…a real coach inspires, motivates, develop the kids AND put the right people together that have chemistry. Yosemire Sam is an embarrassment.

    I got $10k says Torts is going to get into a fight with a Philly fan sometime during the season. Why aren't we thinking about Paul Maurice? He knows defensive systems, is a competitor and has INTEGRITY and CHARACTER which used to be a huge part of the Wings success.
