Stromes issue is that He has to Be with Top Players to play well. He cant drive a line on His own and that says a lot. Here in Az He was a whiner and thats not a great locker room presence. In the end He may get $2.5 to $3 on the market because Teams know He has to have better Players to play with Him for Him to make sense in Your line up. Kubalik is too ify You dont know what Your going to get for that price tag.
I'm surprised they didn't qualify kalynuk and work out a short term < 1m deal.
Indicates to me they expect no way to ship off McCabe from LD.
Keith was 27 in 2010 when he signed the 13 year contract…
Great show, with insight into the current Blackhawks nation situation. I do not agree with your Rankings of TOP Blackhawks players, but we are all entitled to our own,but I might add, hard to judge if you didn't see them play in thier own time…
The Blackhawks had a hard time scoring more than 2 goals per game last year. Who is going to put the puck in the net, besides Kaner? This team is going to be unwatchable. For the foreseeable future. But hey, we’ve got another 8 years of Seth Jones- so there’s that
I was total devastated on hearing the Debrinkat trade. Then Dach goes too? Not easy to stomach.
But now. Looking at roster after Athenasiou & Domi get added. Aside from 40 goal Kat. The roster doesn't look completely weaker.
Goaltending is very different. But the goaltending was never the problem. It's giving up 20+ high danger chances a game that's been killing hawks.
So maybe having a strong coach and a total clean slate could reverse fortunes.
I don't want hawks to play three shots a game like Nashville or St Louis do. But they gotta find an identity. I don't know if Hawks win games or not. But they can't be as BRUTAL to watch as they have been past couple years.
Hawks beat the bottom feeders and win three in a row, then they go out n get obliterated by playoff teams and lose seven straight. That's not good hockey. And that's who Chicago has been for five years. Needed a clean slate.
I liked Dylan Strome…sorry to see him go
