You do realize that this was payback for Houston throwing yesterday's game for us. Even hung over Ranger does not throw batting practice like that unless it is deliberate.

That's a hangover, alright. This result was expected. Glad the no-no was averted, so this game is rather unnotable and will be forgotten. Plus, now the Phils get to face off against the very team that started this drought all the way back in the 2011 NLDS iin the Wild Card round. Pretty poetic if you ask me.
phillies are wise to go play the cardinals….they want to stay right where they are….not really fair to send those guys out to face verlander…

NGL, barring the Seranthony and Robertson stuff, the reaction to this game is a bit over the top. Phils had nothing really to play for and benched multiple starters, Verlander is chasing the CY Young and it actually behooved the Phillies to lose so they get St Louis instead of the likes of LA. Some folks need to take a chill pill.
Rest everyone tmw and get ready for St Louey on Friday. This loss was a blessing in disguise. The Cards are a great test for the WC series. I want no part of The Braves or The Mets in the 1st round. Ofcourse it's never good to lose in this fashion. We need our guys to be confident. Our record against St Louis this year was 4-3. I believe Wheeler & Nola can get us a Dub. Let's see how we can fair against St Louis and if we can get by them we should be much more confident for a 2nd Round matchup against either The Mets or Braves.
