  1. Click bait. He's under contract for another year.. nothing happens until before this season.. or at the '23 trading deadline..

  2. As I’ve mentioned plenty of times The VC have lost if they had any leverage at all. I don’t feel sorry for them in the least I am sure JT put up yet another 100 point season if he plays all 82 games he plays all the power plays he gets a lot of ice time and he has figured it out on how to go to the dirty areas and score. So no way because of your taxes in Canada he agrees for anything less than $10.5 that is why your team can’t/won’t sign him at his age is just the company excuse on why they don’t want too sign him but the Rangers have Touba you guys can use somebody like that so after the season you sign him to eight years $8.5 since he going to pay US taxes you guys get Touba for the next five years after this year we bring JT home LGR

  3. Understand the position Canucks are in. However, there’s nothing that can be done at this time. Come trade deadline, hope Miller gets 70 pts by Feb and playoff bound teams want to double down. The real question is, will Francisco Aquilini allow a trade for the future and potentially give up two playoff home games revenue. Does Rutherford have complete autonomy?

  4. Definitely a nightmare. The Wild lost Gaborik for nothing and it set them back five years.

  5. I will say this in every Miller video comment section from you lego until he walks, is traded, or extended… but if Miller walks for nothing, we mine aswell fire the management again.

  6. call me crazy but what if the canucks offer the sens a package to take a capable player in norris for miller. This could make sense for both teams, the nucks get a player thats younger and very capable whos locked up for a while. The sens get a big upgrade for this year if they think they have a shot at the playoffs and if they resign him than thats a bonus.

  7. Since everyone already knows what happened with Gaudreau, why would any team let this happen again? So if you can't re-sign him before the start of the season, trade him. Not that hard to figure out. Rather get something instead of nothing. LOL.

  8. The Devils will likely trade Jonathan Bernier, Jesper Boqvist, Damon Severson and prospects Shakir Mukhamadullin and Chase Stillman to the Canucks for J.T. Miller and a swap of 2023 1st-round picks.

  9. i had no idea JT was an elite player until this video lol but yeah why not sell now and tank for this insane 2023 draft

  10. The old saying " A fool and his money are soon parted " applies here. Vancouver is three years ? from being out from under their bad contracts. To give a long term, big money contract to a 29yr old is foolish.
Apparently there not many fools out there, I just hope Vancouver isn't one of them,

  11. I think Miller should be traded asap. Also to get as much as possible, they should let teams talk to his agent. If they can work something out, Canucks can ask for more. If not, teams will be paying rental prices which won't be a whole lot. Personally I can see Miller being less than a point per game player. If he is 20 games into next season and has like 12 points, he may get less money and surely the Canucks will get less return for him. Best bet is move him ASAP.
Also, I've listened to you for years, I enjoy your content. But I gotta ask. Wtf do you mumble at the end of each video?
"I hope you enjoyed this vinehdshawshaw99 and… biuhh"
What exactly are you saying there?

  12. I dont think Columbus would be where he would want to go.Toronto would be an option is Vancouver can get some young players in return.Toronto has Kerfoot and Holl. There are other options too but the 2 main ones are those 2.

  13. Well if you don't offer premium signing bonuses to some players, their not sticking around??? Why should they? Wait a sec though, if we apply this to the Sens, in Stone, Karlsson and Duchene, that was 63, 58 and 50% and suddenly Vancouver goes 'CHEAPSKY' or is that 'MISER-ISH'?? If you believe in the contract values are being rumoured. lol.

  14. I have had this feeling for a while now that the longer the Canucks wait, the more likely that Miller will walk at the end of the season with the Canucks getting NOTHING in return. Rutherford may be putting on a brave face in saying the pressure is not now and that they have Miller on contract for one more season. That is the furthest from the truth. Miller's value as a hockey player and his TRADE VALUE for the Canucks are not the same thing. When other teams see the Canucks are stuck and that Miller will become an UFA at the end of the season, why should they offer the Canucks a boat-load of assets to acquire him a few months early?! Miller's agent threatening to stop all contract negotiations when the season kicks off is actually doing the Canucks brass a favour – the pressure point is actually to trade him before training camp starts.

  15. My guess would be that at some point in the next 10.5 months Miller will be gone. Either before the trade deadline or he'll walk in free agency. I think Allvin and Rutherford are too smart to sign a 30 year old for 8 years.

  16. He earned the Contract. If they want him then they should sign him. If not trade him. The reality of the matter is Goudreau leaving for nothing could have been avoided by Calgary. It can be avoided by Vancouver to. They don't have to lose him for nothing. That is on Management if they do…If Gm's can't figure this out now after this offseason, They will never be contenders anyways.

  17. According to CapFriendly, Columbus has $13.7m in cap space next season. While I doubt that's the team he's wanting to go to, I wonder if it'll be used as a bargaining stance by other GMs in a trade talk.
"Miller is only a rental" claims would be annoying for trade talks. And they'll only intensify if Columbus can't get someone more high profile than (checks notes) Boone Jenner, to play between Gaudreau and Laine.

Columbus has just enough cap space and is just tantalizing enough for other GMs to pretend the Blue Jackets will be a major threat in free agency, regardless of what the actual situation is.

  18. JT is exactly the player I would think cbj makes a move on. A few days ago some rumors were stirred up about how cbj was gonna try and add Patrick Kane, and that to me seemed really odd. I said at the time that if we were gonna do anything else, it’d be for a center, and again JT would be the PERFECT guy for cbj’s top line this year

  19. There is always an ebb and flow when it comes to value of players. If Miller is at his pt/game production, at deadline (especially if Canucks retain salary) he's still going to get a nice haul…

  20. JT Miller is not that stupid to pull a gaudreau to go to the Columbus blue jackets

  21. Mock trade:

To Blue jackets: JT Miller (50% retained) & Michael DiPietro.

To Canucks: A 2023 first round pick, a 2024 4th round pick, Gustav Nyquist & Adam Boqvist.

    Blue Jackets top 6:

    Gaudreau Miller Laine

    Johnson/Boone Roslovic Voracek

  22. I don't understand the mystery and angst. JT has been a very inconsistent player, last year was the first season in his career where he was actually consistent for a full season. It was a career year. His agent can value him as a 100 pt guy, our GM can shop him as a 100 pt guy, but signing him long term or trading a huge asset pile based on one good season, no one is going to do that unless he comes out and shows that its not a blip and that he has 5-6 more seasons at that level in him.

  23. JT himself admits his situation is a money making click bait.
    Milking the cow

  24. Don't be idiots.JT will be a Canuck long term…longer than Allvin who is looking foolish.Bring back Tyler Motte!
    !

  25. Petterson will walk in 2 years. He wants to play for a winner!!! I would trade petterson for patty Kane. Mr Kane is a proven winner and Petey will walk anyway. Keep Jt he likes it here Petey doesn't like the media here.

  26. Pulling a Gaudreau? Each year teams "lose" three UFAs per team. Miller if he remains a Canuck till next summer, is a UFA and not Vancouver property to lose. Why shouldn't any UFA want to test free agency.
