So pumped for the season to start, sad I’m not in Prague right now ☹️

Here’s some fancy stats for y’all. As always, more are available on my Twitter (@chickenandstats). For a link to the GitHub to recreate these, go [here](https://twitter.com/chickenandstats/status/1577508207022542848?s=46&t=dg8a1V7bFsV9xgd3QfgH6w)

First up, 5v5 usage and offensive creation/deletion. 1 bubble = 1 game at 5v5. On the y-axis, we have percentage of faceoffs in the offensive zone, which is a function of coaching and deployment. Higher up = more offensive zone face offs. On the x-axis, you have xGF%, which measures team offense/defense. Further to the right means more offense for the good guys and less for the bad ones. Bubbles are sized for individual xG, or individual offense created. Colors indicate whether the player scored at 5v5, yellow is good. Can clearly see herd line defensive zone deployment.

Next up are the power play rink maps. 1 bubble = 1 shot attempt on the PP, sized for xG and colored for goals.

Next are 10-game rolling 5v5 xGF and xGA. The colors are in the legend, more xGF is good, more xGA is bad.

Finally, we have single xGF and xGA scatter. 1 bubble = 1 game at 5v5. Color indicates if the team won or not

Josi slicing up the middle will forever be ingrained in my mind as the most fun thing to watch last year. Hope he’s just as lethal this season 🙏🏻
