  1. Avs in an OT in game 7, full disclaimer….Im as Bias as they come. A 3 PEAT SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE, especially up against a hungry Avs, Joe SAKIC built/lead team. BUT Kuemper has to be great, not good enough like FRANCOUZ. If any injuries happen then Lightning will take it from the AVS. GREAT ANALYSIS! You covered everything in the most professional manner. IM glad the Avs are the underdog for once, while also being the smart money/better team on paper. This is what GREAT STANLEY CUP PLAYOFFS ARE MEANT TO BE! LEt's go AVALANCHE! WHOOPWHOOP
Plus in the 2 game sample we had in the Winter, Avs proved they can beat them playing the way they need to to win the Stanley Cup, that was even when they were not at the top of their game…

  2. The Avs were unable to lock it down against the Blues so I'm not confident in them defensively. Tampa has proven year after year they are the best defensive team. I think Bolts in 6.

  3. The Bolts have had much tougher opponents than the Avs had. That indisputable. I'm not faulting Colorado for this, they played who they had to play and dominated them. Just have trouble believing they will look as dominant against a team who can score like them, has the best (proven) team defense in the league with back to back Cups, and also the best goalie they will face by a huge margin. On paper the Avs look like the clear choice, but it's Vasilevskiy's world…we are just living in it.

Edit: Oh, and if the Bolts add arguably the best playoff goal scorer over the last half decade back to the lineup, that makes a little difference too. Point drives the play, can finish with the best of them, can challenge anyone on the Avs skating wise, and adds a layer of danger to an already dangerous Tampa PP. He's been practicing with the 3rd line (Colton-Point-Paul), so he may feast on lower defense pairings.

  4. Gutsy prediction.. I like TB also..Goaltending wins cups. Behind 90% of all cup winners is a red hot goalie.

  5. How do you guys feel the AVS stacked up on Offense compared to Florida? Tampa already took on an elite offense and they man handled them. Do the AVS play a significantly different style? Either way, as a Tampa fan I'll definitely say this is the toughest match up of all Stanley Cup finals they've been through.

  6. I know playoff play is different than regular season play in intensity and drive. How much discrepancy is there from when they faced off in the regular season to this series?
And it sucks, i hope I'm wrong but I've been stressed all year saying if the avs don't win a cup it'll be because of kuemper as well. Fingers crossed, #GoAvsGo

  7. Now, Avs vs Tampa Bay, we talked through the St. Louis series. I told my Mom if if Hockey is rigged it would be Tampa Bay vs a new team for ratings or it would be St Louis vs Pittsburgh because they have the highest ratings in the NHL. Now I don't want to sit here and debate anyone because things can be manipulated alot more then you think. Now to what I think should happen this series is that Vazelisky will get in the Heads of the Avs by game three like Binnington did. I still think St Louis would of won in 6 if they didn't lose him. The Avs in my opinion don't do well be good goaltending. Mike Schmidt is terrible in my opinion. So you really can't say their sweep was as great as it looked. I'm looking forward to Tampa Bay showing Colorado who's Daddy. Now the odds are against Tampa winning 3 in a row but I don't like Colorado at all I think their Coach is dirty and I'm looking forward to seeing them cry

  8. I burned calories listening to that analysis— very engaging and always top notch 👌. This’ll be a great series

  9. Smith's SV% was .928 before he played the Avs. You're underestimating how silly the Avs can make any goalie.

  10. If you look at this, Tampa Bay and Colorado just play different styles of hockey. For Tampa Bay every forward is forced to play two ways, they sacrifice offense for defense, Colorado does no such thing. Tampa Bay has been fine on offense though because of the depth, so for me this comes down to if Colorado can stop the depth of the Lightning not the top guys.

Colorado has much better top guys, however we watch has you go down the lineup depth wise Tampa wins. Take for example the lines, Colorado’s top two lines are better then Tampa’s, Tampa’s top lines are a little better defensively but offensively it’s Colorado, yet if you see the third line matchup it feels like a joke, Tampa’s third line destroys Colorado’s, and the fourth line the edge for me goes to Tampa. Same thing defensively, Makar and Toews is better then anything Tampa’s got, but after that depth defensively goes to Tampa.

For me I’m a Bolts fan, and has such I’m believing that Colorado will win this series. However when I look at this matchup, deep down I worry that I think this team might straight up dominate um with the depth and defense. To me this feels like the 2015 finals between Chicago and Tampa Bay, Tampa Bay was the new team destined for greatness, Chicago was the older guys looking to make history while switching to a more defensive mindset.

  11. Great review! All this tells me is this, they both belong in the cup finals! After all of this what really stands out to me is the PIM stat. From ESPN; 201 for the bolts to 94 for the Avs. With all the other stat’s canceling themselves out, for the most part. PIM is key. The Avs are the more disciplined team. The only question is, can the Avs take advantage of this and convert it into goals?

  12. Love the maple leaf made of the Ukrainian flag colors on your cap. Glory to the Heroes!

  13. Avs fan. I honestly don't think it'll be close – Colorado in 5, maybe 6. Speed and precision kills and all 4 lines for the Avalanche are playing at a level right now that the Lightning haven't come close to seeing yet this playoff season. That said.. When you're the 2-time defending champs and Vasilevskiy is between the pipes you *are* the best until someone proves otherwise.

  14. Cale Makar one of the best two way defenseman in the NHL. AVS have a faster team and much more determined. Don't think they will be stopped, AVS in 6.

  15. What concerns me as an Avs fan is that when I see Tampa, I see a team that plays a lot like St Louis, only better in pretty much every way. And that is the only side to give the Avs trouble this postseason, plus it's a style that has routinely given them trouble. On the other hand, Avs won both games against Tampa this season. On the other, other hand, Vasilevsky. On the other, other, other hand J Johnson is not going to be as big a liability against Tampa as he was against Edmonton-in fact, he's a rather ideal response to the gooning talked about in the video. On the other, other, other, other hand, Point is more likely to be back (and effective) than Kadri. On the…oh forget it..another hand, the altitude is real, as is the wear and tear of three Stanley Cup runs and longer series this year.

I guess in the end my gut says I would far rather have seen the Rangers than the Bolts at this point, so I'm a bit pessimistic about the Avs chances. But GO AVS!!!!!!!

  16. I just can't pick a team that has proven nothing over the two time defending champs with the best goaltender on the planet.

Thant's not to say that I'm sure the Lightning win the series, but I'm still picking them in 6.

  17. Its funny how everyone has qualified the Bolts as Slow, we are just a smart team facing tough defenses, that force you to grind, we are fast, we are skilled, we just haven't played against a rival with that set of skills as to set a duel, maybe the Rangers (without Trouba and then some), forget about the AVS results en the west, it SUCKED this year, Eastern Conference was WAYYY harder to win, CMON

  18. If you ask me who the best forward is now in the playoffs? I'm leaning towards nikita kucherov…mackinnon is the best forward, specifically in this entire group……what???

  19. votes kucherov over mackinnon…."you know my canadian bias, so you know that's true"….votes a russian over a canadian LOL

  20. "it's called changing on the fly, people….chill" – says the guy who can't list lines correctly in his analysis

  21. you also have to consider the coach….i think john cooper is better at adjusting than jared bednar. I think jared bednar is a great coach, so is galant, there's a ton of great coaches in the playoffs right now…….dude there are only 2 and galant is not one of them…???

  22. They have 5 or 6 tricks in their bag and they will change it. They will beat you up physically, they can beat you offensively, they can race you to 7 if you want to…they have a lot of different options in their bag…where i think the colorado avalanche, they'll beat you in the rush, they'll beat you in scoring, they'll beat you in corsi and offensive pressure, they'll beat you in the right way. but john cooper and his deployment of his strategy will beat bednar…………………………….seriously do you even know what you said in this monologue???

  23. I like how in the final thoughts, you said the bolts would win because of "coach and adjust" which are the same thing….and that the aves would win because "5. Better"…..LOL

  24. "Hot Garbage Sports" why do you "like" everyone's comments but the ones that literally just quote what you say in the video with questions regarding your comments?

  25. Your bias is showing. What a joke. The avs scoring has nothing to do with their offensive prowess right? The defense of the avs has nothing to do with the shots right? VASI as the best player in the playoffs…hahaha.
    AVS IN 5

  26. “These are not great opponents.” I get injuries affect teams but two of the Avalanche’s opponents garnered a comparable number of points to the Lightning.

Vasilevskiy is definitely an X factor. If he stands on his head the Avs are in for a rough series.

  27. Game 1 will tell you how the goalies will do… the series will go to who wins the first game…

  28. Pretty sure this guy picked St Louis and Edmonton to beat avs as well lol

  29. one thing is for sure it doesn't take Cooper long to fix anything if the
Lightning come out and win game one Vasey is a monster BOLTS in 7

  30. I find it interesting that shot blocking is so highly regarded, but it’s looking like it’ll be the downfall for the Tampa Bay Lightning this year. Their players are clearly better off in the lineup and in good condition… Vasi is good enough to stop these shots on his own.
