The East is a bloodbath and I can’t wait to see who comes out of it
The Panthers maybe the top spot in the East but not always the best team always win the Stanley Cup and also they need to win a Playoff Series they haven't won one since their Stanley Cup run in 1996
Probably the most fun SCF match would be Florida vs Colorado, bc just Goals as neither team are amazing in their own zone, don't get me wrong, Colorado is way better than Florida in that regard but they are not as solid overall as say Carolina.
I love their roster too. Those players deserve to go all the way this year. If they don’t win it this year, I hope Vatrano does(wink wink). The thing is, their non existent fan base who only shows up when their team is in the playoffs don’t deserve this team.
as a life long florida fan I'm excited for this post season. If Ecblad comes back healthy I think we can tighten up are defensive front.
I could see one of the Florida teams making it in the finals. I just think Tampa Bay may have run its course, though. The Panthers could win it with all the momentum they have.

I totally agree with everything you said. Don’t let the Tampa and Boston games fool you. I’ve watched every game this year and the last 2 looks like they weren’t even trying. Hell, to score 4 that’s right, 4 on Vasy that you said is an elite goalie without giving it 100% should scare any playoff team. I don’t think my Cats make it to the cup, but, they’ve been fun to watch this year. Oh wait! Was that another comeback? 😂
Hard to predict who comes out of the East. I think the Cats will win 1-2 rounds before Bob loses the goalie battle decisively and they're out.

Florida has been the team to beat all year in the east. Any scores you see this week are fools gold except for the last spots being punched in. I Just watched the Wild seem disinterested and not hit at all with greenway / Faligno getting in skating shape – weird. Calgary /

MN series winner challenging as a dark horse. Edmonton relies too much on the big line and will falter with a good checking team and depth.
I would to like see a Canadian team in the finals or a new market team but it’s a long path, with injuries, goaltending etc. fun times…

Panthers also don't have a ton of playoff experience on their roster. I believe Hornqvist is the only one with a ring in Florida

It’s hard to make excuses for your statistics with the high-danger chances, but I’ll give it a shot in the dark…. I would like to see 1st period high-danger chances vs 3rd period high-danger chances. I notice we take the foot off the gas a lot with a lead. I wonder if the stats will reflect in the playoffs, where that foot doesn’t come off the gas when we have a 2-4 goal lead.

Only thing I disagree with is huberdeau being poor defensively. He has been great this year. He was never bad, but this year he’s been playing on the PK and he’s been really strong. He’s always been really responsible.
I think what tty said is so true and I'm a season ticket panthers fan for a long time and we couldn't pass the 1st round or make the playoffs in a long time your right on the money

I'm hoping that the Panthers make a deep playoff run (hopefully to the Cup final). However, I'm convinced that since the NHL playoffs are always full of surprises, the Panthers will find a way to choke out of the playoffs (which is what most President's Trophy winning teams are best at).
