1. Let me know your thoughts on todays news…I know the Coyotes have put out a statement saying they aren't for sale or moving since this news broke but I will caution you that I wouldn't expect them to confirm it even if it were true so take that with a grain of salt

  2. In my opinion, in regars to the Coyotes. For the last decade in Pheonix they have been a bottom feeder team on a tight budget and have drafted poor. Which tells me the scouts and upper management is either all business or just poor knowledgable hockey management personnel. Houston has had a WHA franchise that won the Avco cup under the Howes playing there. I think it is a no brainer. Make the move to Houston!

  3. My wife and I are soon moving to Texas. After we retire that is. I'll always be a wild fan, and to a lesser degree a Dallas stars fan. They were originally my home team and I do still love them. With that being said I think a team in Houston would thrive and I'd love to see the competition. It would make both teams better I believe.

  4. JUST YESTERDAY the Coyotes said NO WAY WILL WE MOVE OUT OF ARIZONA! Now…….. Just a short 24hrs. later…… BREAKING NEWS?! Not really. Folks have heard in Glendale of a potential move to Houston. Other cities have been mentioned but mostly Houston has been the go to destination. JUST ANOTHER LIE BY THE COYOTES! It's no wonder the City of Glendale has had enough of their CHILDISH BULLSHIT! I live in Glendale, not far from the Gila River Arena. I want them here, but the ownership has done NOTHING to be loyal to the fans. Nothing but lies for decades! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

  5. I know this will never happen but I would really like to see two current teams move to new locations-Coyotes to Salt Lake City and Florida to Quebec. I know the Panthers have improved this season but its been a really weak attendance wise for years. Quebec would support that franchise like gold. As for the Coyotes they just have never been able to get it going since day 1. This franchise really needs to move. Send them to Salk Lake City and rename them the Huskies ( Salt Lake Huskies) Get a rivalry going with Colorado.

  6. The Az Coyotes are, 1.) NOT FOR SALE & 2.) NOT moving out of ARIZONA!

I think words from the Coyotes themselves, and the NHL , far out rate the word of Forbes.

Surprised Top Shelf would be a part of spreading this kind of nonsense!

  7. What the hell this beleaguered franchise is still doing in Arizona after all this time, I'll never know! Not once have they made a profit, had fan interest, or success at all, which isn't going to suddenly change after 2 1/2 decades, in an area which never asked for a hockey team in the first place! While Houston wouldn't exactly be my first choice for them to go to, that would still be a far better place for them to be, since they've had hockey history with the Aeros for many years, and would also have an instant instate rivalry with the Stars, while having a built in arena all ready to house a hockey team when needed. Quebec City is where they should go to if anywhere, even if conference imbalance would be a problem again in that case though.

  8. For a while the local and state governments, in Arizona, were subsidizing the team to the tune of 30 -50 mill a year…police and firefighters weren't hired to keep the team owners happy….ie couldn't afford to have new hires in the civic realm. Talk about civic priorities..LoL.

  9. I've wanted a hockey team in Houston a long time. Coyotes is an ok name, it's Texan .However, I'd love to see a nautical name glorifying an important yet forgotten part of Houston: the port. I'd like to see a team named the Admirals, or the Commodores, or even an old minor league Baltimore hockey team name :the Skipjacks. Fertittta owns the Landry's seafood chain , so on a minor note thats a nice advertising tie in. I think the space theme with Houston's kind of played itself out.

  10. What's up with some of the Arizona franchises struggling for venues: Coyotes and D Backs? Cards drained that region for their over budget, Peter eisenman stadium. Lol. First, Coyotes move then D Backs will follow.

  11. Highly unlikely. No place in Houston for the team to train (the old AHL facility is a dump now), and Fertitta is out of money after buying the Rockets. Plus COVID has hurt his restaurant business significantly. Houston was a good AHL city but not enough interest in the sport in this city for the NHL.

  12. Well this video didn’t age well after Betman said they’re not leaving 😂 Howl

  13. sick of coyotes getting propped up it's just nonsense.. Should go to Quebec City next would be Hartford those are the most logical places proving a fan base already exists…..kill of this mess already bettman ..

  14. Will Las Vegas support the 2 NHL teams in the desert? The answer is NO. Houston does have the highest request of supporting the NHL team as of nation’s 4 largest city, but it will be the 3 largest city if Houston will overtake Chicago in population race. Will New York City support the 4 NHL teams? I don’t think so. New York City already have 3 NHL teams, and they are: New York Rangers, New Jersey Devils and New York Islanders.

  15. I think if the Coyotes relocate to Houston they should be called the Houston Areos where they would wear the old school white jersey for away/home games and the the light blue jersey for home games that they wore when they were a Word Hockey Association team back in the early 1970’s (1972).

  16. My heart says bring back the Quebec Nordiques but my brain says move em to Houston and I think that is what is going to happen eventually. If they do move to Houston I would drop the Coyotes name mainly because of the constant mess they have been involved with during their time in Arizona

  17. I would love them to move to Houston. I'll continue to be a Black Hawks fan as I'm from the Chicago area, but would attend games whenever the Hawks are in town.

  18. Move to Houston makes good business sense. We drive up to Dallas for games, I'm sure there's a good fan base here. We have a facility, Tillman has the cash and midas touch. Let's hope…….
