As evidenced by the comment section here…no one cares about the Flyers.
I watched that final pre-season game vs the Islanders. York was out-hustled, manhandled, out-played, & quite frankly pushed around the entire game. Made bad clearing attempt decisions, sloppy passes, & turnovers. He played himself into that demotion. Not that Attard or Zamula did anything better to warrant being kept around longer until Tuesday. Torts has already said they'll be going down also when the final roster is set. It opens the door for Nick Seeler, that former Minnesota Wild 'penalty waiting to happen' goon & Chuck Fletcher's favorite pet to be on the 3rd D-pair again. Didn't Chuck just re-sign him for a lengthy big-money contract ? He also re-signed longtime journeyman Kevin Cunnaton to a similar deal so you have to figure Chuck has told Torts to keep him as the 7th extra man also. Again we get the slow-footed, turnover-prone, penalty-causing pairs of Provy / DeAngelo, Risto / Sanhiem, Braun / Seeler. So much for playing the kids.
