EDVINSSON EST-IL PRÊT ? & WESTERN CONFERENCE PREVIEW – Podcast Winged Wheel – 6 octobre 2022

Nothing I’ve seen from Edvinsson so far says he should be in Detroit this year. Looks lost out there at times and you can definitely tell he’s 19.

  2. Everything you said on Edvinsson, yes. Now, Albert Johansson looked pretty damn good, and I disagree with him not being as dynamic. Is this paving the way for Donovan Sebrango to be the guy!?

  3. Already listened on spotify.
Here for the algorithm, and I wanted to throw my 2 cents in on the wild wild west.
Outside of Colorado, every other team either has holes, questions, or are obviously bad. So many of the teams in the west, remind me of the middling eastern teams, but with different trajectories. The western teams cores are aging and/or spinning their wheels. Where as the east has a handful of contenders and a bunch of teams on the rise.
My prediction is that atleast 2 eastern conference teams, who miss the playoffs, finish with more points than the wests 7th and 8th seeds.

  4. I recall in the 20-21 season, modified divisional games only season. Rassmussen had a 2 assist game, both were incredible plays, been wanting more ever since.
One was a drive toward the net that became a wrap around where he made a backhand pass to erne for a backdoor tap in. The other was on the PP where he received the puck in the slot and made a little touch pass to zadina for a one timer. He coulda have shot but made the better play.
I think rass is well on his way to being a very good 20/20/40 every day 3rd line staple in a good teams lineup.

  5. I agree with the statement that Edvinsson is not the 6th or 7th best defenseman on the roster (he's 3rd of 4th at worst). That's about it on that topic.

  6. People continually comparing Edvinsson to Hedman are a bit steep, to me Simon shows flashes of Oliver Ekman-Larsson.
If all else fails Simon's floor is a great stay at home defenseman which is not a slight on his future and NHL abilities.

  7. I give Berggren the best shot to make it, plays with pace and skill and is already pretty adjusted to NA ice

  8. Edvinsson needs some work in the AHL. We have a bunch of what look to be capable defensemen coming up in the system. They have legit NHL defenders in place, so let those in the minors force their way onto the roster and displace displace a legit NHL player by quality of play. That is how I see this playing out. I do not think the Wings organization looks at it from individual players, but as the team as a whole. The Wings get better with you here, you are in Detroit. If not, GRG bound. I do not see the name of the player having anything to do with it.

Yzerman has the same approach with contract negotiations. Larkin wont back up the Brinks truck. There is likely a 1-2 million dollar AAV Window (8.5-10.5) Yzerman is looking at as acceptable. Term is going to drive where on that floating scale Larkin is on. I would think term may be a sticking point more than AAV. My personal preference would be 5 years, 6 years max. Do I see a deal getting done? Yes.

  9. I think you guys are totally wrong about Edvinnson…he will make the team and will improve over time…Nothing from Lalonde sounds anything like you guys..its up to Yzerman..but we will wait and see

  10. Whether he is "ready" or not doesn't really matter. Getting top pair duties in GR makes more sense for his development than 3rd pair minutes in the NHL. Edvinsson probably replaces Maatta next season.

  11. I fought MMA professionally for years…I cannot compare to the hockey crowd but i would sweat 20 minutes easily post workout just cooling down. There is no point of showering and getting out of the shower and sweat STILL after clean. I would drive home and cool down and right as i started to stop sweating i would hit the shower up at home.

  12. If I was doing senior hockey like Brad, I'm probably going out with the guys after a lot of games. I'd shower in those situations. It is simply cause I have late games and go straight home afterwards.

  13. No, he is not ready.. he shows flashes of being a top 10 pick, but he looks uncomfortable on the smaller ice, struggles with timing and speed.
He came into the development camp saying he was still growing, I wonder if that needs to caught up to him first, lots of taller players struggles with this.

  14. pushing Edvinsson into the NHL after his training camp that has not been overwhelming, and you are playing with a young players confidence and progression in a very dangerous way. Put him into the AHL, no rush.

  15. Larkin has played 142 games more than Barzal and only has 47 more points in that span.. if you give Barzal 142 games he will easily be 50 to 60 points ahead of Larkin.. possibly more 🤷‍♂️. As much as i love Larkin i still say Barzal is better and should make more. As for Tage Thompson i'd say he hasnt yet proven to be comparable to Barzal or Larkin yet which makes him an overpayment until he proves otherwise.

  16. Going to have to stand with Ryan on the shower thing. If I'm going out with the guys after or during tournaments where we have more than one game that day, I'll shower.

Outside of that though, I'm not done sweating yet right after a game, those showers are disgusting, and I still need to air my pads out, so I'll shower at home

  17. My gosh, Brad maybe Makar doesn't value money as much as being on a winning team. A "Mistake" is relative to ones priorites here.
