Shoutout to the linesman for not calling the icing at the end there.
There was a conversation the official had with Mo near the end of the game. Almost sounded like he was saying “Why’d you dump it in Mo?” lol. Anyone else catch that?
Ned.
Good finish to a rough start.
Ned has a .909 not too shabby
Nice.
I really want Veleno, Sodastream and Bergy in the lineup. But there’s no way without injuries. Tough decisions coming up.
Missed the majority of the game because of work, anything notable happen?
Anyone notice Bert not celebrating the EN goal at all. I recognize it’s the preseason and just an EN, but like, it’s OK to celebrate a little. Or am I reading too much into this?
Outside of the 2nd goal given up by ned I thought the guys played really well. We were quiet and slow the first period but made the bounce back and adjusted smoothly, granted we were playing an AHL squad. My standouts were soderblom, edvinsson, bertuzzi, veleno. Veleno looked so good out there, he looked faster and was really throwing the weight around with his hits which you love to see.
Anyone else catch Larkin hittin JFV in the sac as they passed each other in the end lineup there? Lol
it’s so good to see them gelling like they are. That’s how you win as a team.
Yea! We beat the Marlies!!!
Man we won and there were some good goals and good individual performances but our d zone coverage and wingers winning battles on the d zone wall to get pucks out and or break pucks out is still a little concerning.
Am i the only one who saw Elmer check two maple leafs guys into the boards with one push? I was dying of laughter
Amazing hustle from the team, Vrana still looks like he’s a bit hurting though, I hope he can find his stride this season
Our opening night roster better put pedal to the metal from opening faceoff on.. we are prone to give up early goals and play catch-up. Need to fix that if we are taking a step forward.
Daniella and Carley both reporting that Newsy is shutting down both Edvinsson and Soderblom, that they have seen enough. Not sure what that means for either though.
