  1. Good pickup for the Hawks. Good draft year, tank hard and stock the shelves

  2. I understand the need for the trade. But having the keep giving up high draft picks to make up for mistakes is getting frustrating. I think Quinn Hughes will see more opportunities on the right side going forward.

  3. This is how i feel about the trade. Would i trade a future hoglander or klimovich for 1.3 million in cap space. Not a chance.

  4. No one is happier to see Dickinson gone but why another Left handed Defenceman, Happy and confused all at the same time. 🤔

  5. There's a W, that they didn't get with Jones or Debrincat – trades. Stillman is a 7th dman. Dickinson is a solid third liner. A quality pick is never worth complaining over, haha.

  6. Good move for both teams, I think. Sad to lose a pick though.

Also, I was hoping to get a post game video with you out of your mind about this performance tonight. 🙁
We ended the second period with 4 goals, while Arizona had 5 shots. Which is certainly… something.
Arizona didn't even get a 6th shot until 6:45 left in the game. And their 7th and last shot at 5:12. 😅
They had 15 penalties (4x 10m misconducts, a double minor, and 9x regular minor penalties, total of 62 mins) and only 7 shots. More than double the penalties than they had shots. Even at the end of the second period they had 6 minor penalties, and 5 shots. I'm not sure I've ever seen that before.

This was like the best team in the NHL playing against some street hockey kids. I know that Arizona is rebuilding, but dang, Vancouver is a good team, but not THAT good. hecc

  7. Great trade for both sides I gotta say. The Hawks are full of defensive prospects and can afford to send one of their better ones out considering how much more time the rebuild will take minimum. By the time Chicago will be in contention they will be in a position to do whatever they want with Dickinson, and that second is gonna likely be a mid second round pick so it’s exactly what Chicago needs.
And Stillman is a great piece, great for the Hawks in his time and he shows great improvement under good leadership so hopefully Vancouver can make something more of him.

  8. The pick is all people are gunna not like, but the pick was to take on the cap, trade is good for both sides, and Vancouver gets Cap relief for the future. Nice trade.

  9. This seems dumb. Put the guy in the AHL and you save 900k on Dickinson salary. They basically saved very little money to give away a 2nd round pick.

  10. i like the move for both teams. free up.cap space and get some toughness on D. Dickinson was a huge disappointment and it gives a roster spot to Linus Karlsen. ya we lost a 2nd round pick but we can recoup this on a future trade .

  11. I'll say to clear some cap space that you need…and move an under-performing forward for defensive depth and a 2nd rounder is worth it. A 2nd round pick is a bit dear but you correct a mistake and get two things back of value to you.

  12. Brutal.JB gives up a 3rd, PA uses a 2nd. This team sucks to watch. Won't see a cup in Van before I die. Brutal. How many cups have we won with all these Swedes?

  13. Wish it was Myers going although Dickinson was a close 2nd. What will they have to give to move Myers? Probably a 1st rounder sadly. They should buy him out to save the picks.

  14. You can't fix the problems Benning/Aquilini created with Benning/Aquilini-like moves. The owner hates draft picks. What do they do for him now right?

  15. Well it cost us a 3rd to acquire him, and a 2nd to get rid of him. That pretty much says it all.

  16. Really liked Stillman as a 3rd pair guy/7th Dman solid physical game and decent defensive game but for a 2nd??? Ya I’m happy with my hawks end of the deal. 2 1st, 2nds, and 3rds in the next 2 years of the draft and that should only get bigger with the trade deadline 😁
