Great video man
Trying not to be biased, but I agree. I think Calgary is a very close 2nd, and leaf’s are a 3rd. They have a lot to improve. and Vancouver is probably my 4th pick, jets are around the same, and probably Ottawa is around there, then Montreal.
I hope they can get the cup the oilers let’s go!
Hell yeah the Oilers are the best contenters again but let's see if they can make it to the finals. But even tho the cup hasn't been in Canada for over 20 years in the NHL look at all the players majority of them even on American teams are Canadians and thats a fact, but I do love seeing German, Russian, ect ect ect players coming in and making a big impact/difference to the game and for there country to
No Canadian team will win the cup, ever.
All it takes is a couple bs calls from the corrupt ref's to take a series away.
Sorry, Gary won't let it happen.
Colorado also got weaker. Losing Kadri is big, and he isn’t being replaced. Also MacKinnon seeking McDavid money or more has now handcuffed them. Let’s make the 6th best player the highest paid in the NHL
While I agree with most of the points you made. I personally think they need a better goalie or get the whole team to buy in on defense
Flames will win the cup this year.
dave manson is a big reason the defense and PK improved as well
What curse?
This could end up being a dynasty. If they win, everyone is signed for years yet (if they do win, 29 & 97 will re-sign for the rest of their careers)
I am a flames fan and I want the flames to win obviously, but after that I just want a canadian team to win… even if that has to be…. the oilers
Oilers maybe Canada's best chance at the final 4. But the depth isn't their to win in June.
evander will help us hoist the cup
Wow.. that video will age badly when it comes to your comments about the Sens….
LET'S GO OILERS!!!!
RHSP is such an underrated youtuber. you're content is amazing.
They proved last year they are canadas best hope and they improved after that season too
Don't make me laugh lol.
i didnt even finish watching the video GO OILERS!
Nnnnnnnope. Do you think defence and goaltending are inconsequential to contending? You have to if you actually think this.
McDavid will have to go elsewhere to win. Edmonton’s management is fully brain dead.
Is this video satire?
I don't see the argument for just putting Toronto aside at 3. The Leafs may have lost their first round series, by the narrowest of margins I might add, but it's also fair to point out that Edmonton didn't win a single game against a team that would be considered on Tampa's level (Colorado). I get that the Leafs need to get over the hump and trust me I want to see that, but I think people get too hung up over this team won, this team didn't and lose sight of the fact that not every opponent & challenge is made equal simply because they are both quarterfinal matches. I think Edmonton did well to move on this past year, and I think, especially given their division being… not the best… that they have a reasonable path to being among Canada's best chances to go on. But, when it boils right down to it, Toronto & Edmonton are of similar construction and quality up front, both have considerable question marks in the net (Mike Smith had a very arguably a better season than Campbell did), the difference however is the Leafs D is significantly better than the Oilers. I get that Woodcroft made a difference after taking over the team, but the personnel is still problematic on the backend, and also people need to be careful with projecting based on pace. Not saying I think this will happen, or that I want it to, but it's not uncommon for teams to see sustained bumps in play following a coaching change that do not translate to longterm winning.
Not even a Oilers fan, and if you asked me this a year ago, I’d want the oilers to have a 1st round exit again. But after seeing the energy and excitement Mcdavid had in the calgary season, and the amazing performance Leon played while legally crippled, I have gained so much respect for this team. I also see this team being stanley contenders with Campbell, I thought their only major issue last year was Mike Smith. I think what it’ll come down too is if their blue liners can step up and stay healthy. They’ll be the difference makers for this oilers team
Good to see that Jack Campbell now will get to see what the 2nd round is like, and thus a very real shot at winning a Stanley Cup.
This is a great video! You deserve more subs!
I'm just not sure how You Guys think Campbell is going to be stellar. The fact is He has always been a middle of the pack goalie not a star that is the facts. You guys defense did not get much better either but You do have one of or the best offense. I just can not wait for the season to start and see how She all shakes out.
The thing that might go unnoticed by alot of people is that the Oilers have basically added 3 top 6 wingers(Hyman, Kane and Holloway) and 3 top 4 Dmen(Bouchard, Kulak and Ceci) and a number 1 goalie in a little over a year. And they managed to do this without giving up their 1st round picks. This is a team that was already a playoff team without those players.
just found your channel and gave you a sub and like. great hockey content hope to see you continue
Idk about the term “contender” being used for the team, I still see 3 teams in colorado, Saint Louis, and minnesota being ahead of them, and arguably nashville/Calgary. And that’s JUST out west. Obviously any team with mcdavid on it will automatically do pretty damn well tho. I think the benifit of an easy division will help them but ultimately blind fans to the fact that their team isn’t nearly as deep as it needs to be.
As an big Oilers from the beginning let's hope so, we have the talent but do do we have the goaltending. " Maybe" time will tell. So let's Go Oilers!
The thing with the oilers is they could go to the finals or they could win the draft lottery.
Sorry !! Any team in Canada gets my vote for the cup. But it boils down to the Flames and Oilers!! Both teams are better this year, so let's see what happens in the playoffs!!
Best chance we are Canada's only chance the others don't have the drive you need to go all the way and the rest can't make it past first round. Cough Toronto cough 🧡💙🧡💙
Either edmonton or calgary
Flames > McDavid
Canucks Fan. not interested in a 'Cup for Canada'. Only cups for ME. 🙂
I think the Flames have a better chance..
Good video my dude.
Oilers suck balls
Mixed feelings when I want Canada to win a cup, but not Darnell Nurse…
#97 to Toronto #34 to Arizona this is best for Canadian hockey 🙂
Writing the Leafs off so easily, because they took the team that would go to the finals, and already has two recent cups to seven games and lost. I know…ya gotta beat everyone to go all the way. But one could properly speculate that narrowly loosing to top competition is exactly the thing that the – still developing – Leafs require in order to realize their potential. The Leafs are still rising as a squad of young players. And they seem to be the same team for the most part, as last season- with a few minor adjustments. Together, they have yet to reach the point of culmination concerning their potential. They’re not going to be worse this year, and there’s lots of reasons to believe they’ll be even better this season.
Ok, obviously I’m a Leaf fan. But I love to watch Edmonton as well. I go for all the Canadian teams, after the Leafs. I don’t think it’s wise to write them off as contenders for this season because of a first round bounce. Developing teams learn from their failures. Use them to improve their performance, ever more, and so on.
Tell you the truth, I’m expecting magic out of the Leafs this year. And I am positive it will be just that.
And I’m always happy to see the magic that McDavid and company put on display regularly.
I think Canadian hockey fans should stick together regardless of their team. Let’s support one another, with the hope that one of our squads might bring home the cup. 🫶🏼✌🏼
ONCE Our SACRED Frozen GAME is CLEANSED! the OIL and the MAPLE LEAF! will return to TRUE GLORY! NO MORE PEDO HOCKEY! EVER AGAIN! OR I WILL BURN IT ALL DOWN! YOU GOT ME??? THE WHALE HAS SPOKEN!
