I have to say as a sens fan love the trade. to say Ottawa is going no where please look at the team. we have our forward group and the young core growing together. All Ottawa needs is the experience and a few tweeks to be a serious contender. having debrincat play with batherson and Stutzle will be amazing. Stutzle is like Patrick Kane with some crazy passes he can make and how he sees the ice.

Hey, Hawks fans. I was wondering if there’s anything interesting us Sens fans don’t know about Alex? Anyone willing to share a fav DeBrincat moment?
Can anyone offer any insights on his strengths and weaknesses? We know he can score like the dickens. But what’s his defensive ability like? Can he also take draws? Oh! The video just said he does kill penalties. Or is that just because he’s a short handed goal threat? Does he like to skate north/south, or does he prefer to cut and wheel laterally? Does he seem to have a preference for dump or carry for zone entries? Does he like to carry the puck up ice himself, or does he like to receive a pass once he’s already in the O zone?
Sorry to ask a million questions. Just very curious about his day to day game. As I’ve mostly just seen highlights. So any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, guys 🙏
This is the type of trade that both teams win. Ottawa clearly wins it today. But in 5-6 years from now, Korchinski and Ludwinski could be decent, and you’ll be able to say, “I’d rather have these two players than a 30 year old DeBrincat on a high dollar contract.”
You watch out Courtney go into the history of the Sens they lost Mark Stone, Daniel Alferdson, Matt Duchene to name a few those are pretty high quality players Ottawa had and if they did not have to trade them Courtney who knows what it would be like in Ottawa with those players but we had to trade them and Ottawa fans knew Stone and Alferdson were being there was no well maybe they keep him we were told they were trading them. It is no fun having your best players traded is it. Ottawa has gone through the rebuild of having no 30 or 40 goal scorers it is no fun, it has been 4 years of rebuild in Ottawa it is about time we got got a sniper, ask Kyle Davidson if he would love to have Brady Tkachuk(yes our Captain), Josh Norris, 30 goal scorers and Drake Batherson another 30 goal scorer and Tim Stuzel( Key player in Alferdson trade) and who The Cat will play with and Thomas Chabot who we drafted not like Chicago went out and traded for Seth Jones and Ottawa has also got this great defencemen named Jake Sanderson who we drafted in the rebuild. Ottawa is not looking to bad with The Cat is it. I bet Kyle Dubus fell out of his chair when he heard the trade was made Austin Mathews scored over 50 goals last year well he now has company. In fairness Ottawa has zero cups in the modern era. You have several. We've been in the shitter for 5 years. I drool every time Kane destroys us, which is pretty much every time he plays us. But TBH until this week I didn't realize how good Debricant was. I hope Kane gets you a serious return. Dorion is likely making sure you do.
First, sorry for your loss. I know it stings — as a Sens fan I can relate. Ottawa is rising rapidly, and our new Cat will fit in perfectly. I expect him to sign long-term next winter once he settles in. Everyone aroound the NHL is seeing what the rebuild is becoming, and players know a great locker room when they see one. The Sens are vibin', and once we get another top 4 D this summer, we're bound for the playoffs.
Yes, news in Ottawa is that Dorion lynched the Hawks with this trade. If you follow Dorion's press conference, prospects were in talk. Not sure what was said between both GMs talked about, but this I understand how BH fans feel.
For you Hawks fans. DeBrincat did say in a press conference that you were great fans. I do hope he'll fit in nicely with the Sens. If Dorion does what he's hinting at, Ottawa would easily make it to the second round on paper. Doesn't mean they will. We all know there was a lot of hype for the Sens the past year and they didn't even get close to what they were projected to do.

Sens fan here—we’ll take good care of him. I know he’s probably not very stoked to be on this team, but it’ll warm up to him. The fans here are great regardless of what attendance numbers say (our arena isn’t necessarily in the most convenient location, but that should be changing soon), and our team is actually very solid, especially if we add Claude Giroux in free agency this off-season. We just need a top-4 RD and a 1B goaltender and we’re a cup contender. Trust me when I say he’s in good hands.
