I’ve gained a lot of respect for Bruins fans this pre-season. They have to listen to Jack Edwards fumble through their broadcast night in and night out every year. To suffer through that 82+ times a year and to keep coming back is truly remarkable and I tip my hat to them

So we need to cut 3? Or is it 2 since Bernier is still injured? Either way Holtz and Zetterlund secured their spots tonight. Boqvist and Geertsen are logically gone at this point.

The Holtz Haters gonna be quiet after this game.

Kept doing what he has been doing all preseason and gets rewarded with a goal and a great assist.

Nothing scares me more than the Bruins down 1-4. Told my husband this after the game and he was like « Well, you’re not the Leafs »

    Holtz Calder

    Tatar 45 pts

    Vanacek .920

    Yeezy 30 goals

    Marino Mania

I loved the hughes goal simply for the fact that every devil on the on the ice touched it in sequence for it to end up as a bang in goal for hughes in front. Great break out and quick transition for a goal. Mercer had a nice tip too. I always forget how high his ceiling is. He could be a sneaky critical aspect of a winning team, much like palat was for Tampa. Never completely takes the spot light, but always clutch and does the job.

  7. Holtz continued to play exactly how he’s played all camp and preseason, except he got rewarded with a goal! Should keep people quiet, He’s been one of our better forwards so far. Fits very well next to Jack and I thought here was fine away from him too.

Strong preseason from Tatar. I like Marino a lot. I though Boqvist was solid tonight. He shouldn’t be waived. Especially considering we might be light on centers if Haula isn’t re-signed after this season, which I don’t think he will be

Seriously great game from top to bottom, I can’t single out a bad performance tonight.

The defense was very solid, but needs to clean up the breakouts. They were unlucky to give up a couple deflection goals at the end, it was otherwise a really good night for them. They did a great job limiting chances, blocking shots, and forcing shots from the outside. 👍👍👍

Holtz looked great, Marino with a big game and 2a, MERCER showing off some good hands with the deflection and some dangles. Sharangovich had a sick shot too.

Goaltending was great, no soft goals, no dumb turnovers. That kind of performance will win us games.

Special teams needs more reps but looked very good. Dougie had a couple bad reads pinching at the point which lead to 2 breakaways but the movement and the looks that powerplay produced was really encouraging. This shits gonna score some goals in a month. Jack Hughes was getting looks literally at all areas of the ice, should be really interesting to see the PP tactics this year. Wood or Hischier at the net front will be backbreakers for teams.

The PK was fine but one breakdown which left pasta wide open for the goal was the only mistake.

Really encouraging preseason, lots of great things, lots of individual improvement, and I’m really excited for the season to start. Jack edwards sucks. See you guys next week

Only negative was Edwards…. I honestly thought the puck went into the stands or the refs blew the play dead every time the devils scored.
