Maybe its the rose coloured glasses im wearing or maybe its i watch every jets game and you mostly only watch jets highlights. Your hot takes on culture are luke warm; is it toxic, yes it is. Is it as toxic as people outside of winnipeg make it out to be, probably not.
Winnipeg doesnt get noticed very often, ever really. We are small, smallest market smallest arena etc and our owner and gm are not public people, they keep a low profile and plqy cards close to chest. So when anything gets out it gets over analyzed because there is nothing else.

my eventual point is, we are getting slept on and overlooked again. Everything went sideways midway through the 18/19 season but i think if Bowness brings in even a little accountability this team is alot better than people think. We obviously are not climbing mt avalanche to the top of the central but a 3-4 is Helle more likely than being down with chicago and arizona. Or maybe im wrong it isnt working by december, in which case a stick of dynamite is needed. everyone over age 25 not named connor, ehlers or hellebuyck.

You're acknowledging the power of a goaltender and Rick Bowness system in your Dallas assessment despite them not having too many scoring threats… but ignoring those same positive factors with more talented natural offensive depth with the Jets here.

The preseason has been seeing signs of the players buying into Bones' systems, forwards being more accountable defensively, cover for rushing dman. It improves along with getting consistent special teams they shouldn't miss the playoffs. KFC no love, hope he breaks 50 goals, 100 pts.
I think the Jets are going to be better this year than a lot of folks are prognosticating (I have them making the playoffs), however respect is earned, and they have done nothing the past few years to do so, so in my mind the criticism is fair game.
The offence is certainly there, I expect the defense to be vastly improved, and if Hellebuyck has a better year than last they'll be in good shape.
These players know they all have 1 foot out the door. This team is broken.
While I don’t agree with the jets being 6th I can see it if every team not CHI and ARI has a great year. Saying the jets are 6th and barely above ARI with a chance to be 7th is completely out to lunch.
Can't wait to see that Leafs season preview. We all know how that story ends. 💩💩💩
