Good Morning. Thanks for viewing this video. A couple key things to consider before posting a comment:
1. Did you watch more than 25% of the video?
2. Did you hear me say the only way the Oilers do this, is if they don't sign Evander, and can somehow get Patrick at 50% retained?
3. Did you also understand that I'm not rooting for this to happen?
4. I clearly broke down how signing a Dman, goalie and filling the team needs work with trading for Kane. You just didn't watch long enough.
5. Don't be dumb, the video is 12:30 for a reason.
The Oilers need to shore up their defense and get a much younger/better goalie.
But what would it cost Edmonton to acquire Kane AND get Chicago to eat half the salary?

Is it really worth it?
Keep the assets and use the cap space to sign a goalie, top 4 Dman and multiple 2nd/3rd line forwards.
They'll still have assets and cap space to add pieces at the deadline. They don't need more superstar talent they need depth imo

Smith is on crutches at the old folks home, Duncan Keith is retired, Jesse Puljujarvi wants leave, and now u got oil fans playing nhl on xbox talking about having two kanes. JFL.
Kane is still top of his game and will be for a good number of years. Outside of the usual wear and tear you accrue just playing the game, he simply evades damage. He's electric and with Edmonton, would probably set the all-time single assist record the first season.
I honestly could see this happening since Kane said he wouldn’t wanna play in a rebuild and especially after the draft I see this as a possibility
Imagine going on a 2-1 against Mcdaves and Kaner, I’ll get the ankles bandages ready for those broken ankles, Kane’s hands with mcdaves hands and speed ooof give us the cup already, ya think Lavoie, 1st next year, Semirokov, Puli. Looking at the deals the GM made already I saw that would be good enough for him
I think the overriding thing here is that we’re in Win Now mode. We should do everything we can to do it.

i think what it would take and im not the hawks GM…remember Debrincat got traded for 2 forst round picks…so kane and a 5th round pick in 2023 to you guys in Edmonton for Evan Bouchard, Pjuljarvi, your first round pick in 2023 and a first round pick in 2024…im assuming it would be that
