  1. Veleno and ESPECIALLY Zadina aren't top 6 forwards lmaoo. I like Veleno but he projects as a 3rd line center at best, probably 4th. so yeah, we need centers badly. And Soderblom won't make the team next season.

  2. don’t think people realize that stevie is setting this team up to be competitive for 10+ years. don’t think he’ll make any drastic moves now. he wants to draft and develop talent and keep them here as long as possible.

  3. If we cant get wright or cooley I really want nemec or jiricek. Between Jiricek, seider, edvinsson, wallinder, and buium we could boast a defense where 5/6 players are all 6'3 or taller. I'm all for drafting as many elite defenseman as possible and then adding forwards. If we somehow sign forsberg I want nemec or jiricek

  4. Still think they need a second line center instead of Forsberg. But it would be fun!

    Forsberg – Larkin – Raymond
Vrana – X – Bertuzzi (could be traded)

  5. I see him staying with the preds, they have enough cap flexibility to get it done, and you get more tax breaks in Nashville…I just don’t think there’s another contending team that has the cap space to sign him.

  6. FORSBERG would be awsome! But he will cost a lot (8-10 mil)
Ceaper options för a LW and UFA: Burakovsky, Niederreiter or Rakell (4-6 mil)
My favourite players are Hintz or Dubois and mybe Trocheck as 2C, but two of them are stll RFA! I hope, Yzerman can do somethig, to get one of this RFA guys.
On the defence Staal, DeKeyser, Oesterle and Juolevi have to go! Sorry but they were not effektive at all!. In that case, we could play the young guns immediately!
They could be as good as them or even better!? Possible new D:Gustafsson, Gawanke, Rosén or Deangelo
Our goalies were not so bad, but they had some hickups and our D was not a big help. Possible new G: Kähkönen, Oettinger or sign Heiiberg again
I like Bertuzzi, but he have to get vaccinated. This line changes, during plays in Canada, Sucks!
Last one: Why are they so high on Fabbri and Erne? Erne is an 4 line player who wants to play a bigger role (but he can't). Fabbri has an arrogant attitude and is well overpaid!
    Thx for reading! LGRW

  7. We need another top 6 center before we sign star wingers, although the idea of forsberg coming to Detroit sounds good, I don’t think we have the roster where he could come in and make things work, we need to fix our center situation first.

  8. Forsberg is gonna want a big contract. I don't see Yzerman offering that up at this stage rebuild. Best to wait and see how the team develops.

  9. Been a Wings fan my whole life and love the idea of adding Forsberg. With this being said, I do not think this is the move we need to make at this time. If we wanted to focus on the short term to be competitive now, this could be worth it, but I do not think that's the Yzerplan. Long term we have to take into consideration the cost of players like Raymond and Seider among other players when the time comes for new contracts. I know we have the cap space for now, but we need to think about 2, 3 and 4 yrs down the road. Spending 10+ million on a player right now would not be a move I would be comfortable with. Just my opinion.

  10. Yes. Absolutely Detroit takes Forsberg. This talk of wait a few more years is ridiculous. Larkin is a point per game player. Vrana is a point per game player. Raymond and Bert are extremely good. Seider has the ability to lead all d-men in the league in points. Drop the dead (and incredibly slow) weight of DeKeyser and Staal and replace with Edvinsson and bring in a F/A like Klingberg or Lindholm or even an older but speedier Letang for back end leadership. This team is close, too close to not try now to make a run. LGRW

  11. We have so much cap space, I don’t see why we wouldn’t. We should make a run for it while Seider and Raymond are still on entry level contracts and maximize that window by utilizing the cap space we have

  12. Flyers has a lot of cap space now, and already have good centers. Maybe they'll make a move for Filip

  13. Sign Forsberg for 8 million per for 5 years. I cannot see Stevie giving Forsberg anymore than 5 years, could be less.

  14. You need more than 1 goal scorer to help take some pressure off Vrana and I will slap you if you say Raymond or Larkin are goal scorers, they're not. That being said I'm quite sure Forsberg could play center on a line if need be.

  15. I don’t think we’re quite ready to sign a high profile FA, I think one more season of good drafting, development of prospects and maturity of young players and then go out and get a good FA

  16. If you’re building a team the right way have to do it the right way and he be great to have you don’t get expensive toy until 80% squad is set & ready to go I don’t believe thy are there yet need incorporate new young Swede’s another defenseman that’s good then pull the trigger on player like ghst

  17. We're going to need to keep our cap down and outta bad contracts, so we can sign our own players in the future. Can't fix our team in a day, it's going to take years to get out of Holland's mess.

  18. He would definitely make the Wings better but would be be a major factor when they're ready to contend? I just don't know if the team is ready for big name free agents yet. That's the last piece of the puzzle. You do that once you've made the playoffs and shown you're near contender status… Then you bring in THAT GUY and win it. Besides, would it be enough to gent through Boston let alone Toronto and… For brevity say all of Florida? Probably not.
