What I say for toews is that he's the best 2nd defenseman in the league. Can carry his own as a 1st defenseman. And is very deserving of being a top 10 league wide. If things moved through him, he's elite, if things move through Makar, he's elite, two very different scenarios, elite. He does unlock a lot for Makar in my opinion, having someone that smart, that unselfish, that great would help anyone. These guys recover way too well, get to take chances, and have the anticipation to see mistakes happening and make up for them. He'd play well with any of the top defensemen in the league, a lot of whom wouldn't play that well with one another.
That was last playoffs …hes not much of a secret anymore-for anybody past a casual fan at all.
