I was waiting for this lol.i think he should be good. As a 4th line center the other teams centers aren't always the best. If he can improve on his faceoffs. shoot why not run him 4th line and he's a big boy who isn't afraid to fight….

i just hate this cause i hate, how Samo got only 2 shifts with the oilers.
i will cheer for him ever harder, just not when he plays vs the oilers.
I was hoping for a deal to clear some cap and it came through. Now to see if there's any other deals in the works
I like this trade for Dmitri Samorukov. It's not entirely his fault the oil are loaded with LD defense.

I'm fine with the trade. I was pretty ambivalent about Samo… could take him or leave him… but it was pretty clear he wasn't part of the plan here so, let's see what Klim can bring.
Good trade by Holland, IMHO Samorkov doesn’t have a NHL career with any team his hockey IQ is very low, he may play a handful games but his future is back in the KHL, adding a big centre in return gives the Oil more depth at a position you can never have too much depth. For me both Ryan and Shore have been disappointing in the preseason, especially Ryan he’s lost well over 50% of his puck battles as he looks at least a step slow to be effective and he simple isn’t good enough in the dot to be effective on the PK anymore.
Sad to see Dmitri go but I truly hope he gets a great chance and does well (except, of course, when he faces the Oilers (lol)). Klim Kostin could be interesting. He hits. A lot. He's BIG too. We'll see. Great vid as always. Take care all. Oh, trade wise, I'd love to see player for pick so we can free up some cap. Anyone gets injured we're pretty much hooped.

Broberg hasn't really stood out this preseason, just is kind of there. I honestly saw way more of Nemaleinin(not sure of the spelling). I think we should trade or send Broberg down.

One thing you missed is kostin has like 80-90 hits in the games he’s plaid.
Forwards are looking much deeper and a little bit sturdier on the bottom end. Hopefully we see some results with Jay's mentoring.
I hope Samorukov gets the opportunity he wants with the Blues and wish him the best. It sucks but he wasn't going to pass Broberg and Niemeläinen with the depth being strong on LD. Kostin should help strengthen the bottom 6. We'll see what happens next
The music sounds like the start of Rishaugs got your back. Lol. I like it on yours better. I like the size and skill for Kostin, I think it also might be a piece to possibly clear Derek Ryan out in a trade.
Hate to see Shore on waivers but it just goes to show that the competition is fierce this year for the Oil no matter which line you are on.
If your looking it as purely depth then yes it’s a good trade, we have enough 7th D men around and there was at least 2 other guys In front of Dmitri we always need a Center and big guy who hits fights and chips in! Now we can see what Ken is about always having a chip to move. It’s now about money low cost young players are where we are at!
Good "hockey trade". EDM has an excess of LD and needed another league-minimum bottom-6 winger that they can bring up and send down due to the injury to Tyler Benson. For St Louis, they have injuries on defense, Kostin was not going to make their NHL roster, and having Samorukov who can play either side as a number 8 D on the depth chart makes a lot of sense (Dmitri would be behind Broberg and Neimelainen as young LD in EDM). I hope it works out well for both players.

Size and good on face offs. Hopefully is a good fit with the rest of the team. With Kassian gone the team needed some toughness. Samurukov didnt show he was going to replace any of the prospects. Still need cap space. Hamblin is a nice surprise. Keep the vids rolling.
