  1. Here's a couple rough trade ideas to help the defense:

Scheifele to the Rangers for Braden Schneider

Scheifele to the Islanders for Ryan Pulock

Those may not be exactly 1 for 1, but the main pieces.

  2. How bout before blowing up the team we get a new set of coaches. We have had huddy and kompon for years. I dont think its fair for Lowry to be tied to those sinking ships. They just recycling same garbage from maurice. They have been here for ever an they still can't figure out special teams or how to play D in our own zone. Huddy plays this ridiculous scheme of half man on man half zone coverage bs. The players look confused on their assignments. New coaches before u blow the team up…and to be fair, with how chevy handled the last couple years I have zero confidence he will actually make anything happen that will be in jets favor.

  3. I know we all talk about this and that when it comes to #55. Myself included. It's emotional venting, we're all very passionate about this team. And I totally get it. But, truthfully…I would absolutely hate to see Mark Scheifele wearing another uniform. Maybe that 'audit' will reveal some other gaps and deficiencies. It's like Metallica's 'Some Kind of Monster.' The organization needs a healthy intervention. But…we lost #29 out in Columbus. We lost a good coach…and a decent guy in Paul Maurice. Can this franchise really afford to lose someone else that's put so much into it's…'identity?' Chevy has his fingerprints all over this team. But you can only point fingers at him for so long. Look at how the Bombers were built. Miller, Walters, O'Shea. 100% accountability from the top down. They're all in. So are the players that want to ride that wave. And you constantly hear that from the BB dressing room. FIFO.

  4. I am just a guy, but I feel the game has evolved in ways this team hasn't. In the 2000s, I just don't remember the same emphasis on deflections. It was the "one timer" era. Guys still do that. Laine was one. How many goals does Ovechkin have from the same spot? But the way Detroit defended us in the last game we played them, no breathing room, forcing mistakes, it feels like we don't do that enough. We try to play a positional game and that is such a gamble because players work on deflection skills and any puck that gets through is a threat. When we're forechecking we can manufacture chances. It's why we often score 3-4 goals when the guys look totally lost. That should be a winning formula, but we get killed on defense. How many games would we have won just by clearing 5% more loose pucks? I just can't shake the sense that, even though Poulin is the expert, the guys are actually doing better than they are being coached to. Lowry has often been pleased with the play after a loss. Not always, but too much. They played their game. Well, then it doesn't work.

  5. Is this Andrew Paterson the one who played minor hockey for the Winnipeg Monarchs back in the late 80’s?

  6. The Montreal Canadiens went to Stanley Cup final last year and this year fired the GM and coach staff. That has to happen with the Jets! Fire the GM and coaches

  7. There is a top to bottom review of this team after Every season with no change and the same result. This franchise is a joke. Pure shit.

  8. As long as games are sold out and season tickets continues to have a waitlist….Ownership is making money…as much as they want to contend if the side of business is strong there is no huge effort to bring in a high end GM and or Coach …if this team want to be on a contender status they need to address the top mgmt and soon or they just gonna be mediocre

  9. I don't want to see #55 leave either but I think he has to. His contract ends in 2 years as does Wheelers, DeMelo, Dillon and Helle plus Perfetti's ELC ends that year. No way they keep all those guys. So do you risk losing Scheifs for nothing in 2 years or trade him now and get a great return. And resigning him after 2 years leaves no room for Perfetti because the Jets are deep on Centre. , Scheifs, Dubois, Lowry, Appleton, Perfetti, Gustafsson, keeping Scheifs means one of the young guys gets burned. So trading him is smarter than keeping him.
