  1. Harris is a guy who decided to stay in the NCAA looked very promising last season

  2. Josh Anderson is not labelled a power play guy and will not light it up on the powerplay, nor will the powerplay be any good for MTL. He is a north south player, who likes to charge the net at full speed, and rarily distributes the puck. You can see this in his goal to assist ratio. I expect him to play 3rd line with Kirby Dach and Drouin while Dadonov, Gallagher and Dvorak will be the 2nd line. We all know what two thirds of the 1st line will be. The question is who is the 3rd guy this year. Slaf, Hoff, Monahan at wing, other?

  3. Holy the top six on d talked about on this podcast is no where near the opening night roster lol

  4. To me the biggest story is roster changes. Drouin, Dadonov, Anderson, Dvorak, Monahan, Evans, Edmundson and Allen could all be playing elsewhere by the deadline. Management is just waiting for teams to start having IR cap space. Pair that with a lot of new faces on defense and keepers with injury issues, it's going to be another chaotic season.

  5. If their goaltending was better, they definitely would have won a few games.

  6. Hugues had many task to do this summer and he mostly succed at most of them ! Let's be honest, they are still in rebuild mode phase one which is adding young prospect, building the core and clean bad contracts. So far it's going the right way with the pieces added and removing the Weber and Petry contracts. First time in 20 years i feel there is a competent and complete management team on that team !!

  7. We habs fans just want to compete and finish with a top 3 pick

  8. I’m a hab fan but I still think they’re going to be really bad lol. The one thing that will be better I think is goal scoring, but the defense is so horrendously bad that they’ll suck.

  9. That's a very fair take on what's going on in Habs land guys. We have the same question marks and expectations for the most part. This is a year for individual growth and, hopefully, a few interesting seller moves at the deadline.

  10. I get them not knowing who Harris is, but he's far more than just a nobody. He was on USA at the World Juniors, was named to the World Championship team, was captain at Northeastern, and has been a guy Habs fans have been excited to see play for awhile. Yes Xhekaj's style invites more attention, but Harris has been a legitimate prospect for the team for far longer.

  11. they are where Detroit, Buffalo and Ottawa were a few years ago : they're gonna have a couple more years finishing last in their division (if Boston doesn't fall off too fast) before getting back in the playoff race

  12. Them saying Hoffman is going to bounce back gave me PTSD. Dude we want him to bounce OUTTA HERE not bounce back. He could score 50 this year I just can't stand watching him. He's useless 8 nights out of 10. Other teams know that so we're just stuck with him…

  13. Great that Steve ranks them last in the division, this means it's a given they'll do better 😉 Anyway rough year in MTL again but we all hope to witness the silver shining!!! Go Habs Go!
