  1. If we lose him so we can keep a 30 year old forward long term at a high cap hit who's only there for his offence and face-offs and has defensive deficiencies, I'm not going to be happy. Even when Bo isn't scoring 25-30 goals, he's still one of the most valuable players on the team. I would have rather traded Miller if I could get a pick and a top prospect and kept Bo if it came down to it. This isn't the 80s. The Canucks might be able to get away with outscoring their opponents in the regular season, but in the playoffs, that D is going to get exposed and then it's down to Demko standing on his head. With a lineup like this as a coach, you're thinking pressure up the ice all the time. Keep playing in the other team's zone and hopefully outscore your problems. You can't do that in the playoffs, though. You'll get destroyed by teams that are stacked on the back end. Putting OEL and Hughes together is a dangerous proposition because then you have nowhere for Schenn to play and thrive and with Myers being a borderline #4, things get really dicy after that top unit and if there's an injury, you're in big trouble. You're asking guys who are far better suited to bottom 2 minutes to play top 4 and that's scary. Rathbone needs to make a smooth transition to the NHL this year and Jett Woo needs to figure out how to crack an NHL roster because things get pretty thin after the Top 3. Schenn can play top pairing minutes, but only in his role as Quinn's defensive buffer, basically playing the Kevin Lowe role from the 80s Oilers, the one guy who really gets back and stays at home.

  2. Probably could get a first and a second plus an nhl ready center at the deadline for this guy
